I bought it so I can do a Windows 7 Image backup of my laptop.

No, I would not recommend this product.

Pros: Very nice drive. USB 3.0 interface makes it future-proof, hopefully for quite a while. Rubber padding around the edges hopefully means it will survive for quite a while as well. I know I will not be filling the drive for a very long time. Design on the case makes it rather unique.
Cons: USB 3.0 jack on the drive itself is different then on any other devices I have, therefore if its lost I will have to buy another to replace it instead of using the cables I have. Not a big deal, but it could be inconvenient.
Having 1TB of data storage in a portable form means transferring data from one pc to another will be easy regardless of how much there is. Though I can't comment on it's USB 3.0 speeds I will say it is still just as fast as any USB 2.0 drives i have used and knowing that it can run USB 3.0 only makes it that much better.

Great product, Work perfect and truely compatible

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Although did not buy it for me, the person who is using it is satisfied with the product. For my part, I recommend it because I know the quality of Toshiba for disks of this size. I already owned laptops using this disk brand an I had sale it working fine.I know that, with the appropriate care, can last many years.

Bought a used one but its Just what I needed. Keep all my videos, music, and media all on one place without no worry about running out of space on a 200GB hard drive. Bought A NEW 3.0 usb HDD and it works great!
the original usb cable can be faulty so i suggest to all users to have or buy an extra 3.0 usb cable. mini usb to usb

Fast data transfer speeds on my old windows xp desktop computer and sleek design.
Overall, Happy with my purchase.

I have macbook pro and i initially thought this item will not work, but after i bought it, i reformate it. since then it is working perfectly. It has fast data transferring rate. Pretty cheap comparing to the storage capacity. No complains.

Great product.Robust,light and well constructed. Easy to transport having a good relation between size and capacity. Another positive aspect is the price. Its a cheep product comparing to other hard drivers.
