Confused at first but I'm happy now.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I love this product. I'm not a computer geek but I knew what I wanted this HD to do but couldn't get a thing out of it. There is no written instructions for it It has some internal support software but I'm no geek. The HD set in my desk draw for 2 weeks. Someone said to call Toshiba, so I did. Their CS person was very friendly & in 5 minutes I got the HD to do every thing that I expected from it. I couldn't be more pleased.

Speed is great, compatibility not as universal.

No, I would not recommend this product.

This drive performs quite well in a USB 3.0 port. It transfer rate it slightly above the WD drive that I have that is similar. However, there is one drawback -- it's isn't 100% backwards compatible to some OS's and may need additional drivers. (whereas a WD does not). A good example of that is that it doesn't support Wii's external storage medium, nor does it work as an add-on to certain DVR devices.

Really great, fast and powerful external hardrive..

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This is an amazing External Hardrive, the transfer rate in USB 3.0 is
really fast, and when I say fast, is FAST.. I have made a backup of my
entiry blueray movies collection (about 390 gb) in just 3-4 minutes..
I have nothing to complain. The included backup software is really
user friendly and everyone is able to manage it.. It's also compact
and I can take it with me to everywhere, so I have my information just
a few clicks away from me.. Loving this..

I bought the Toshiba Canvio 3.0 500gb because my laptop space was getting low. I did some online research and picked the Toshiba over all other models because of, the speed, performance, design and size. My Toshiba has been going great. I love the speed, with a 2.0 usb hub, the ease of use, just plug it in and your set, and the size. I have 2 500 gb Toshibas and they both fit in my laptop case for easy travel and storage. I also plan on buying a 1 tb Toshiba. No dislikes at all. That's rare for me about a product but the Toshiba, in my opinoin is awesome. 5 stars!

The faster way to transfer files to a external hard drive 3.0 USB

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I am a college student, and the Toshiba external hard drive, allow me to carry my files, projects, pictures and videos around the new 3.0 USB drive make the large files to load 50% faster i am really happy with this purchase.
