Buoyed by the online buzz surrounding the band's single "Pumped Up Kicks," Foster the People have crafted a batch of similarly catchy, electro-lite dance-pop that fits nicely next to such contemporaries as MGMT and Phoenix. To these ends you get the aforementioned anthem "Pumped Up Kicks," as well as the hypnotic disco hop track "Call It What You Want." Equally compelling are such deep cuts as the yearning, melancholy ballad "I Would Do Anything for You" and the foot stomping arcade game-sounding anthem "Houdini." Burning with a hot track intensity somewhere in between early evening rave-up and late-night club afterglow, Torches is a beacon of melodic dance-pop love. ~ Matt Collar

You have to buy it, you won't regret it

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

It's an amzing album. It worths to listen from tbe begining to the end. Songs like I Miss You, Call it Waht you want and houdini are my favorite. But the best song is Pumped up kicks kind of dark lyrics with and an indie rock sound.

Good cd overall, definately worth a listen.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Heard a couple of their songs and I figured I would give them a try. At first I really liked the cd, it was catchy and the lyrics were good. After listening to it several more times I am not sure. Its not a bad cd, but its not a great cd. Maybe a few more spins and I love it. I def like this album and will look for future albums from them. If you like something catchy with a little edge to the lyrics pick this up.

Currently being launched so many bad bands, bands without any content or better with no sound to transmit, and worse still a hit, is a gift being able to find bands like Foster the people!

Definitely among the top 10 albums to come out in 2012. Fantastic!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I must admit I was somewhat surprised when I first heard Mark Foster sing, his voice had such a quality to it that it seemed like 2-3 people were singing with him when it was just him. Maybe I have earwax build-up, whatever, I bought the first CD I came across on eBay. Man that is one good CD! Mark is 100% camera cotton candy. If you don't have this album, you are missing out on something really good. Each song became my favorite as they were played. So, YES! I would absolutely recommend this CD to my friends, family and strangers.

Lovely CD, I loved it!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this album because I heard "Pumped Up Kicks" on the radio all the time and I really liked the sound of it. Foster the People has a really unique sound. Pretty much every song I've heard on the album has been really great and I suggest buying it if you're looking for something uplifting and pleasant to listen too. All in all, a great buy.
