Too Human Review
> Gameplay: Sp:(8.75/10)
Co-op:(10/10)
Singleplayer: 8.75/10
Co-Op: 10/10
Too Human sports a relatively short, (though highly replayable) campaign. The developers at Silicon Knights have spawned an interesting fusion of bread and butter RPGs and hack 'n slash action games. Players may often find themselves spending large amounts of time sifting through their inventory in the middle skill levels, but this tends to be less frequent at levels above 40. Melee combat is an absolute blast once mastered. Make sure to spend some time in co-op too, working with a partner is a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
> Controls: 8/10
The controls may take some getting used to, as the game sports an interesting spin on standard action combat. The camera could use some work but is still functional at its core. Multiple modes help this problem a little.
> Sound: 8.5/10
Too Human possess one of the most mind blowing soundtracks I've ever heard, rivaling even that of the HALO series. Combat sounds great. Ironically, however, some of the best voice acting in the game comes not from any of the main characters, but from supporting characters. Most of the other voicework seems mundane.
> Story: 9.75/10
Too human takes the rich universe of Norse Mythology and puts it in a high-tech, futuristic context. Mythology buffs may notice a few chronological inconsistencies, but they are understandable in the context of the story medium. Thor and Freya were a bit of a dissappointment to me though, I wanted to like them but just couldn't.
> Graphics: 9/10
(unless the graphics of a game are either superlatively terrible or unspeakably fantastic, I do not average this score into the overall total) Absolutely gorgeous vistas scream to be stared at but the actual levels bear little in comparison. Most environments bear very little cover, if any, and that little that is present tends to be easily destroyed. Many of the facial animations, (particularly those of Hiemdall, Hel and Baldur) are absolutely fantastic, while the others drag behind.
> Overall: 9/10
Baldur may not be the studliest hero the gaming world has ever seen, but he is certainly cool. Silicon Knights has fused two genres of gaming in a way I never would have thought possible. Combat generally flows well, with only a few issues on melee hit detection against certain bosses. RPG buffs are granted the option of sifting through and absolute mountain of equipment varieties while those not keen on gear grinding can still enjoy themselves. There are a few little things that the developers should have smoothed over but didn't. Also, it takes a little while for the game to truly grow on you. In all though, this is a title well worth your time, especially if you like RPGs or Action titles.

I can't stop playing !

This game is addictive. I played it for 8 hrs the first day. the game lasted 12 hours but I started playing it over again immediatly so I could get better weapons, gear and to lvl my character up even higher. if you like games where you can customize you character with tons of items this one is really good.
graphics: 9 out of 10 - The graphics are good the characters, aroms and weapons are good also some combinations look rediculous but I cant wait to get my legendary gear. The evviroments are very detailed. the only bad thing is the animations are a little stiff in the cutscenes and while fighting.
gameplay: 9 out of 10 - although the gameplay is a little bit limited it is very addictive. You wont be learning complicated button sequences, you use the analog sticks to attack and use a few buttons to use special moves. You can lay waste to wave after wave of enemies, its nice how you can dodge roll then attack and launch the enemies into the air and jump and attack them above ground, use guns and unleash massive damage with swords, hammers and staffs. it feels weird at first but after spending some time with the game you will be a killing machine. There is 5 didfferent classes which adds alot to the replay. It also lets you play co-op with another player.
Sound: 6 out of 10 - The sound was ok The voice acting was acceptable but some of the background music was poorly looped, also most of the enemies were pretty silent while fighting it not awful but it could have been alot better.
Story: 7 out of 10 - it was pretty basic and pretty forgetable and the ending was left wide open. i realize that there will be 2 more games but I would have liked a bit more closure.
Overall : i highly recommend this game if you like action and getting lots of loot. I gave it 5 stars to counter all the people who said it sux but honestly It really fun and I would rate it a 8.5

This is a very great game for gamers who like RPG type games like World of Warcraft or dioblo. There are different classes with their own abilities, you can pic the class that suits you most, and it will keep you busy for quite a while. Its very fast paced and it is very replayable.
This game takes you through all sorts of fun levels while killing massive amounts of enemies. As your enemies die they drop items for your suit, weapons, and other such items that you pick up. You can customize your character, the different suit items you pick up and put on will change the way you look and all have special traits on them as well as the weapons.
The only flaw I have seen is when you are moving the camera angles can sometimes get a little messed up, but for the most part you won't have too much difficulty.
on a all around scale I'd say this game would rate a 7/10 for people new to RPGs
and a 8.5/10 for anyone who love RPG style games.
I'm a Experienced gamer who love all style games and this is my personal opinion of this game. I hope it help you, Thanks for reading.
My Xbox 360 gamer tag is RetroNitro if you whould like to add me or check my gamer score

Too Human is a very polarizing game those that hate it hate it, those that like it like it theres very few people who fall in between. If youre looking for a GET IT! or DONT GET IT! opinion here, Id advise you decide for yourself by downloading and playing the demo if its still available. The demo is the first level and the rest of the game is simply more of the same.
Personally, I think Too Human is awful. It is a western kusoge. Its a mess of a game in concept and execution. The game looks really ugly. The writing is silly and cliched trying so hard to be epic and failing so miserably (the first boss is Grendel which isnt even from Norse mythology) There are even obvious bugs left in the game that have never been fixed. Too Human is just not enjoyable for these reasons and more.
I think the worst aspects of Too Human are the controls and how its creators decided on its difficulty. The controls are plain bad and ill suited for a hack and slash. Instead of pushing a button to do the attacking, you use the right analog stick. Not to shoot, but to melee and much of the game is flying from enemy to enemy by waggling the right stick. Most enemies are easy to kill single hit weaklings but every so often there is one that explodes when it dies and either damages you so bad you almost die or nails you with a status ailment that renders you helpless long enough that you die. Its really annoying and making things worse is there is no way to heal yourself unless you were fortunate enough to have a breakable object or enemy drop a health pick up. Yes, there are guns to deal with the exploding enemies but thats if you are lucky enough to have a firearm that does good damage and not have so many enemies on screen you can shoot the one problem enemy.
Did I mention every time you die theres a really silly sequence of a valkyrie coming down to pick up your corpse? You cant skip it. And it takes forever.
The other super annoying thing with Too Human is enemy strength scales with your character's level. As you get stronger, so do your enemies. In a normal RPG, the stronger your character gets and the better gear you have the easier the game becomes. This is backwards in Too Human because enemy strengh increase outpaces yours. There is no better example in this with the long range enemies that shoot missiles at you. When you are low level, they shoot 2-3 missiles at you. When you are level 50 they shoot a cloud of them at you that do a lot of damage and are extremely difficult to avoid. This alone makes going for that no death achievement on the second chapter maddening if you try it at level 50.
This is the game that IMHO reveals Silicon Knights for what they are. Talentless and unworthy. Too Human doesnt work as a game because the ideas that went into it were faulty to begin with. But that never stopped Dennis Dyack from blaming Epic Games and trying to sue them for all the money Gears of War got (he really did try to do that).

Too Human The facts as experienced
Created: 02/02/09
Hi
I thought I'd throw out a review of my newest 360 game Too Human.
I didn't expect a lot from this game but thought "how bad can a shooter RPG really be" if it has "diablo style" random drops from monsters?
Well I found out it can be pretty dang bad.
I expected to mow down plenty of baddies & get experience, find or buy new weapons & armor then repeat the process.
Well I got a little of that & a lot of anoying factors that made the "expected" less enjoyable.
Things like worthless guns that do practically no damage, bad auto aim system, a camera angle that often makes it impossible to manually aim acurately, poor contact detection & swords that do 4-5 times the damage of the guns.
Here's "just a few" examples of anoying situations that happen constantly in this game.
Lets say your fighting a big 12 foot tall robot (since all the enemies ive seen have been robots) You shoot it, the robot seems to be taking no damage or less that 1% damage per second.
So you run in with a sword swing at it (while stopped from running into it) but you don’t get a hit till the 5-6 swing (the other swings just magically passed through its legs).
So you jump smack it a few times even though you can never guess how long you'll get to "float" in the air to continue your attack.
There are times you will stay in air 2-3 seconds & there are times you stay in air 7-10 seconds. The ladder being better since most of your attacks may just pass through the robots body & arms.
You hit the ground the jump again but this time the robot tries to stomp you, but on a "scaled" size (counting your character as 6' tall) you jump just as you see the robots leg start to move up, you get 5' by the time the leg is raised 2' & you end up 8' when the leg is at its highest point of about 5' but some how the game counts you as belowe the leg & you get stomped out of the air by the leg below you..(thats sad development of a contact dection engine)
The guns in the game are a pretty cool addition (when they work) but they are low powered have poor auto aim, seldom shoot the robot you actually trying to hit in a crowd of more than 2 robots & at times do no damage at all to "immune" robots that you have used the gun to kill earlier in the game or do no damage to bigger enemies that you encounter. AKA when you need them to work!!
The enemies can always shoot farther than you can by a long distance so even if your shooting them & trying to dodge their spamming shots & at times guided missiles back at you.
Imagine fighting 2-4 robots melee while getting spammed with shots & missiles from afar & you get a good idea of how the game is most of the time.
You die very often due to this & the horrid contact detection.
My basic Numbers 1-10 Higher is Better
Graphics 9. looks nice
Sound 9. sounds great
Game play 4. I’ve played worse but this is the worst game I've played in years.
Fun Factor 3-4 This is a bad game unless you like dying alot, bumping into enemies to melee & shooting guns that don’t work.
I'd say if your interested enough to buy it try renting it 1st if possible.
Or if you like I am & never rent games "Do as I did & buy a cheap copy on eBay so you don’t feel as you've been cheated out of so much as it costs new retail".
I paid around $20 and I'd say thats a lot for a game of this quality, there are surely many games on eBay for the same or less cost that are just flat out better games. If this helped press yes below! Thanks & Have Fun
