Tommy Armour the man was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1895. He remains a legendary figure in golf to this day, nearly 30 years after his death. Dubbed the Silver Scot (from whence the famous clubs took their name) Tommy Armour had an illustrious Tour career which included 25 victories and 3 Major championships, which later earned him induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Tommy Armour the company strives to produce products that combine the best of tradition with modern technology. The company has considerable market share in the golf equipment market and produces a wide variety of woods and irons.

I won and purchased on ebay a 9 Iron and Pitching Wedge to complete a set of Tommy Armour Oversize 845s Irons that I purchased at a local auction. I got a fair deal on both items, and was quite pleased with their appearance etc. Sadly, I have not had the opportunity to go to the course and use them, but I am sure they will be just fine.

) Actually I purchased this club because it fit in my Armour set of irons as a gap wedge. It came standard from the supplier which was a little flat as I am 4 degrees upright on my wedge and sand wedge. My friends at the golf repair shop thought the metal might be a little hard to bend it 4 degrees without breaking but we took the chance and were pleased with the results . The club is very solid and could fit in anyones set as a gap wedge for a reasonable price.

) Was delighted to find this club on E-Bay because my favorite shot is with this 60 degree wedge. It was made about 10-12 years ago so I was pleased to find it on e-bay.

the club is in great shape, though I had the 1 inch ext. cut off today when I had it regriped to my favorite, lambkin. got it today and already to go
