TomTom XXL 550 - US (including Puerto Rico), Canada & Mexico Automotive GPS Receiver

We purchased a TomTom because our older GPS required a fairly hefty payment for updating online. Since I can't find my way to the end of the driveway and my husband won't stop and ask for directions EVER, we don't get very far from home without the little voice telling us how to get to our destination. He even argues with the little voice. There is something very typical about gender involved here. This device was priced very well, is easy to operate and updating online is free. The screen is big enough for people 68 years old and small enough to leave dash space for people who care. I can highly recommend this product and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

I purchased this product because I needed a new one and becuase the screen is big. I drive a big vehicle and at times is hard to focus on a small screen. I like that it is very user friendly and I do not need to be computer sabby to be able to figure it out. I would reccomend it to my friends. The price was right and I had already looke at other systems with the size of screen like this one and the were over priced compared to this one.

It would probably be easier to use of the instuctions were written as if the person using the product, has never used a gps receiver. The instructions are assuming you know how to turn it on and use it. The device is probably very nice once you figure out on your own or find someone that has one...but the instructions are very poor.

A lot of there products including the tom tom XXL 550 will not do more then 3 stops at a time so if you are looking for a GPS for work do your home work contact Tom Tom they don't put it on there web sight.

I bought this item because my older model is out on loan. But this one is difficult for me to load the maps.

But, the GPS that came with the car seems to not be as up to date as the current TomTom and the update is twice as much $$.
