Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent (PC, 2006)

Yes, this game does require alot from the PC, but if you have a fast computer, this game rocks the house. With great graphics, and hours of intense gameplay, SCDA is on its way to being one of the great splintercells. The game isnt perfect, but Ubisoft has come out with patches that fix most of the bugs in the original version. I must say, this is one of the most difficult slpintercells I have played. It requires a great deal of patience and cunning. If you want mayhem, go get CS Source and blow the crapola out of someone. This is more of a simulator, it requires you to think and plan your moves very carefully. Over all, its a really great game.

This is a game for people who like the stealth genre.
If you dont like the stealth genre, dont get this game.
If you like this game, regardless of what you thought before about the stealth genre, you now know you like the stealth genre.
This game is not a "next-gen" game regardless of what they say.
It's just a newer splinter-cell.
Next generation isnt just a graphical thing, it's a play style thing.
In order for a game to be "next-gen" it has to have something special, some intergral core aspect that is unique. This game does not have that.
It's really just a decent stealth game.
The missions themselves can be fun, but there arent very many of them.
This game claims to have 9 stages or so, but half of those are these underscover missions that arent very compelling, and to me, should really even count. Gameplay is made up mainly of observing gaurd's movement patterns and slipping through when you can. At least thats how you get a good score.
In my opinion, it is much more enjoyable to just stealthily dispatch of all your foes. That however will cause the mission to fail on harder difficulties, so I played on easy for the most part. Ragdoll physics are included but are unremarkable. Your arsenal consists of your knife, pistol (5-7) and assult rifle (Aug I believe). None of them are anything special but they get the job done. Level design is unremarkable, but not particularly bad.
Graphically, this game isnt great, but in reality it is a dated game, so no points off.

I paid about 10 dollars for this game, and I wouldnt have paid much more.
But for 10 dollars, it was fun.

I have played several Tom Clancy games and this one was the worst of them all.
The game required a lot of computing power. It was very large. It bogged down my computer. Control of the character was not easy. The saves were messed up in that it didn't always take you back to the last save. It crashed later in the game when I tried to save using F5. At that point I gave up on it and uninstalled it. I am an experience gamer with many games played so I feel qualified to judge this one. I actually upgraded my computer to play this game!

I love this game so much. My god, it is so amazing. Jee wizz. There is absolutly no game on the market that is more worth your time than this. I wish I could go back in time and play it again for the first time because it is just that good.

Must have high-end PC to run. Also I had issues with the exe. Maybe it was a shortcut issue, never-the-less I had to add (-LL) to the end of the exe. title to get it to run. I hope this helps someone.
