The Ultimate Matrix Collection is so far the definitive collection of all things Matrix. From the techno philosophical, mind blowing, ground breaking and thought provoking first movie, to the lets call'em sub par but still enjoyable sequels, including the masterful Animatrix shorts. This collection of Blu ray discs serve the most die hard fan to the audio and videophile who want to put their respective systems to the ultimate test. 6 discs, 3 movies, 9 animated shorts and ultimately 35 hours of bonus footage make this set box a must have for anyone who enjoys their sci fi with flare. I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Great movie to watch !!!

Don't get me wrong. This set is fabulous, both the Special edition and normal 10 Disc Box set are great. And being a huge Matrix fan, why did I give this set only three stars?
I have the three movies individually, each with it's own bonus disc of special features. I have the Matrix revisited DVD, the feature length making of Disc. I have the Animatrix DVD, and the Enter the Matrix game.
If you love the Movies, and were going to buy them anyway- You won't go wrong with this set. It offers great value for money and hours and hours of entertainment.
If like me, you're a fan and have already bought them separate...Think more carefully. You have to ask yourself if you're THAT much of a fan you need a few more extras. For me, I'm happy with my individual discs. Others will see this as essential. Like most fans, I'm kind of bummed that I diddn't know this set was coming out when I bought the movies in the first place.

One of the Best Trilogies Ever

I have always been a fan of the original Matrix film. I have also owned all three movies and the supplemental Animatrix on DVD and I must say the Blu-ray collection is far superior and truly brings all the action and special effects to life. This is the best way to experience the Matrix saga. You can do the robot with J.T.

A Great Blu-Ray Package

The special effects come alive with 1080P on my HDTV. One of the best looking trilogys ever, it looks even better than I thought it would in Hi-Def. The story is very convoluted and it isn't that great of a plot, but nobody watches the Matrix movies for the story. It's all about the special effects, and The Ultimate Matrix Blu-Ray Collection is easily one of the best Blu-rays that has been made so far.
The special features are very interesting and worth a viewing as well as the Animatrix. Overall, this is a great Blu-ray package that all Blu-ray owners should have in their collection. The special effects in 1080P are just simply amazing.
