Movie synopsis
An extramarital affair blossoms into a marriage defined by tragedy and hardship in this emotional family drama from director/screenwriter Don Roos (BOUNCE, HAPPY ENDINGS). When Emilia (Natalie Portman) met Jack (Scott Cohen), she was the other woman. In time, she became his only woman. But winning Jack's heart was just the beginning. Shortly after attempting to start their new life together by having a child of their own, their newborn dies suddenly. Compounding Emilia's grief over the loss of her child is the fact that her adolescent stepson, William (Charlie Tahan), seems intent on making her life miserable. Somewhere between her sorrow and her hopes, however, Emilia learns that no family is perfect, and that it's our ability to accept those imperfections that makes life worth living. Lisa Kudrow co-stars.

This movie is a very moving story about a woman who falls in love with a married man, marries him, has a child with him but the child unexpectedly dies soon after birth. The story goes on to show how this woman and her family is effected by this tragedy. Natalie Portman does an excellent job portraying a distraught/troubled mother. An excellent film for a movie night and for healing.

Very slow progression at beginning of movie.

No, I would not recommend this product.

We did not watch the entire movie because it had such a slow and boring beginning. I've set it aside to try and suffer through at a later time. I liked the idea of the main plot-being the loss of a child and how this family deals with that loss. I like the people cast in the main roles. If a movie doesn't grip me in the first half an hour I won't waste my time watching the rest. Hope you have better luck.
