My art median is embellishing vintage items be it purses, clothing, hats or jewelry. This book is excellent with regards to embellishing a vintage purse. Making a personal statement with your own style on something that already exists. I bought the book because it guides you through some of the processes of embellishment and shows exquisite pictures of the end product. For crafters engaged in this type of art median, I highly recommend the style of this author and the contents of the book.

This book only shows bags after they are decorated, no patterns or any instructions. I truely thought it would have patterns and instructions for the bags shown on front of book> I was disappointed to say the least.
I wanted a book that would give me a creative set of ideas to make unique bags to carry on special occasions. I found the book met my expections and offered clear and helpful designs and pictoral directions. I recommend the book as helpful and offers creative possabilitys.
