This is the first and true movie (first was on television) "The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" by BBC in British. Very good and have closed caption too.
This is the series that was on PBS all in one show. I liked the quality and the way it follows the book by C S Lewis. It has a great meaning to Christians who can make references to the Bible. But it's a good show for anyone to watch without being preach-y. Good story of forgiveness and redemption.
What I found fun in this movie was the way it was produced to include characters that would not look good in costume. The movie protrayed them in cartoon form alongside the rest of the characters. Our computer enhanced shows make it difficult to distinguish what is real and imaged in. It seems almost funny now to see such techniques as the cartoons that show up in this movie, but it gives us a great glimpse back on what was available at that time, only 20 years ago.
I found the characters to be genuine, in character, with the parts they played. I enjoyed watching it so much, I watched it 3 nights in a row.
If your looking for a movie with todays second by second amazing effects, you will be disapointed. If your looking for turning point changes in movie technology- this is certainly one of those films that can show you how it used to be done!!
