| Originally developed on a Russian DCC clone PDP Computer by a humble employee of the Moscow Academy of Sciences, Alexey Pajitnov's mega hit succeeds where other puzzle games have failed: by keeping it simple. Seven blocks, known as Tetraminoes, and one empty "well" quickly translate into hopeless addiction. There are few games that haunt you even after you stop playing -- but 30 minutes with this puzzle masterpiece and you'll see Tetris pieces wherever you look. No matter what platform it's on, Tetris remains one of the purest and accessible videogames ever made, proving that some of the most addictive games are the simplest. | |

What you do in the game
In this game you design your own character at the start and play through the game as him, even though your character wasn't in the movie you still play major parts from it.
Note: You really need to have seen the film to understand the game.
Graphics The graphics in this game are really good (not including cutscenes as the graphics are usually good on them) life-like people walk the streets and each individual person even has their own name. Weapons also have good graphics. Main characters in the game have extra, detailed features and look even better than civillians. Each city has good graphics like the buildings etc. Though shops are heavily recycled. You will get used to it. The cars graphics aren't really good as you can't see through the windows. They have a cartoonish look to them. The cars are the thing in the game that stopped me giving the graphics 10 points in this review.
Gameplay
The gameplay is quite good, though not the best, the best thing is extorting shopkeepers and forcing them to give you protection money, thats if they don't give you it when you ask them nicely at the start, Sometimes you can push shopkeepers past their limit when extorting them and they will fight back hard. The freestyle fighting is cool at the start but gets boring when you have played the game long enough. The special gun moves are the same with the freestyle fighting, fun at the start then boring. Also the game is to easy, there isn't really a hard mission in the game. The cars are also a major problem, they actually are like a 1940's car, too slow can't turn properly etc. br />
Note: To change your characters clothes you have to gain money save the game, load it and then select ' Go to the tailor shop' .
The game is compaired to GTA, but that isn't really true, the only thing the games have in common is the map at the bottom right of the screen and the fact the the triangle button gets you in a car. I bought the game for £29.99 which is about $49.99, $59..99 in the US , I'm not sure bu It's not worth that, I think it's only worth about £20.00 which it is at a games shop near me at the moment. This game definetly isn't for everyone, I mean I love free roaming, random killing games but this game didn't give me a thrill, so you should definetly rent it first. But, I suppose it's still a good game for some.
Overview:
In this classic game your goal is to stack each "piece" so as to create a solid row accross the screen. You don't want any gaps. When you do make a solid row the row is removed and everything above it shifts down. You lose when your stack reaches the top of the screen.
Pieces:
Each piece is composed of the equivalent of 4 small squares. There is a total of 6 different shapes. The shapes are as shown below. (_'s are blank spaces.)

As you stack the pieces you should always try to make as few gaps as possible. You can flip the pieces clockwise and counter clockwise using the A and B buttons on the Game Boy so as to make them fit together best. When you make a complete row accross the screen it dissolves and everything above shifts down to fill the void.
Example: The solid line of X's will dissolve. (_'s are blank spaces.)

Goal:
The goal is to score as many points as possible before your stack gets too high! You score extra pints when you dissolve Rows of 2, Rows of 3, and Rows of 4 (a Tetris). You also can start on levels 1-9. The higher the level the faster the pieces fall toward your stacks. Each time you knock out 10 rows the level goes up. But of you start on a higher level, say level 5, you have to knock out 60 lines before you advance to level 6.
Cool Features:
In this version of the game you can play in either classic mode or you can start with different heighths of "junk pieces" on the screen. You then try to work your way down by dissolving rows until you knock out 25 of them. There are also 3 different catchy tunes you can chose from and listen to while playing.
Another cool feature is that whan you get great scores you get rewarded at then end of the game with special videos and music. (I'll let you discover what they are for yourself!)
Graphics:
This game although an older one (1989) has great graphics. On the Original Game Boy System there are lots of textures to keep it interesting. Buy when you use a Game Boy Advance you can still have colors to go along too!
All in all this is one all-time-great that everyone will have lots of fun with. Get your's today, you won't be disappointed!!!
With such simple gameplay it turns into something extremely fun! You can last minutes or hours playing a simple game of Tetris. Tetris in not only fun on the GAMEBOY but on any other portable or console. You can sit on the toilet and play a game of Tetris and probably never get up. For a puzzle game, this game would be my favorite!!!
This game is the ultimate original classic. Everything about it, from gameplay to music is famous. The original theme is proably one of the best known game tunes of all time.
It looks so basic. So simple. All you have to do is make lines from pieces of falling bricks.
And prehaps the simplicity is why it can become your ultimate obessesion in live.
How many lines? How high the score?
Enjoy it. It's one of those rare games that you can play only once and be hooked for life.
I should know. Who wants to try and beat my record? Come on, come on, don't be scared...
Simple to learn yet a challenge to master, that is all that needs to be said about the masterpiece of Tetris. No Flashy Graphics, No HD, No Saves, No Online Play(obviously since this is a GB title), just one of the best gameplay concepts ever conceived.
