Product Information
The Turtles have come up against some tough stuff in the past, but there's no comparison to what they're about to encounter. While sitting around the sewer watching television, Raphael, Donatello, and the crew witness a giant android ripping the Statue of Liberty from the ground, terrifying hundreds of tourists. Use pizza power-ups and huge body slams to make your way backwards and forwards through history in an attempt to restore peace to the Big Apple. Lots of battlegrounds serve as the backdrop to several different modes of play, including a turtle-on-turtle Versus mode. With simple controls, classic characters, and high replay value, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time should be enough to keep you out of your shell for days.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time, legendary TMNT game!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This was the first TMNT game to look as good as it did for any Nintendo system at the time and it didn't hurt that it came out on the SNES rather than the NES. Although I am a huge fan of TMNT 2: The Arcade Game for the NES, this one actually looked more like an arcade would look, via enhanced graphics. This game is the same idea as the previous two turtle games. You make your way through levels either with a little help from a friend or by yourself, fighting the foot clan and defeating a boss at the end to move on. Also like the previous two turtle games the enemies you've defeated will be tallied up, there will be pizza pickups for your health, and various short term attack pickups. There are a lot of unique aspects to this one however, as the title suggests you will be traveling through time which makes for some very interesting level design. The first level through time takes you the prehistoric times in which you have to watch out for dinosaurs, and there is even a really cool train level, graphics which were extrememly impressive at the time. You will also make it through the technodrome. A attack manuever they implemented in this one was the ability the throw you enemy at the screen. When you fight against Shredder for the firt time, this is actually how you inflict damage on him. Pretty unique and cool if you ask me. Also in this one, when you're just standing there, your turtle wont just stand there like a dope, they actually will do something, for example Raphael will twirl his sigh, or they might make a face. This is one thing that makes it seem more like an actual arcade game than the previous two games. This game is hailed as one of the greatest turtle games to come out for any console and you'll defeinitely find out if you give it a whirl. You'll probably want some help from a friend however, this game is quite challenging. You'll have to think fast and plan your attacks accordingly. Back when this game first came out I think I may have beaten the game by myself once or twice, but when I played it today I barely go halfway through the game. It is really fun though. There are also bonus levels in which you have to defeat as many enemies you can before the end which are applied to your overall enemy kill count. Konami makes great games, they always have and probably always will. This game certainly is no exception. I highly recommend it, especially if you were a TMNT fan back in the day, and maybe you're like me and still are. I always throught it'd been cool for them to incorporate Splinter and Casey Jones as a playable fighter in these games or even April maybe...hmmm... that might have been cool... Anyway, yes, I highly recommend this game, you should definitely try it out. It can go for a higher amount ($40-$50 on eBay, because it is a slightly rarer game and it still has a substancial following to this day, well worth it if you have the cash on hand however). Heros in a half shell, turtle power! Cowabunga dude! Okay, this review is done, thank you for reading it!

Turtle Power!!!!!

Really fun game, highly recommend for any turtle fan! The graphics are very close to the original arcade game, which is great, and the action is non-stop. The controls for the different moves takes some getting used to but overall it's not too hard to hack and slash your way though all the levels. And speaking of those they are very fun and animated as well.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 4: Turtles in Time (SNES)

TMNT 4: Turtles in Time for the Super Nintendo was and probably still is the best side-scrolling beat 'em up game ever created. You choose to play as one of the four Turtles: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, or Michaelangelo and go through several areas, and time periods, to try to recover what Krang and Shredder stole from New York: the Statue of Liberty. The game has very simple controls, with a basic attack button and an advanced attack button, as well as a jump button, and obviously the directional pad for movement. You go through 9-10 levels (depending on what you consider a level, one of them may be considered as 2 levels) and beat up hordes of foot clan members as well as other enemies to try and recover the stolen statue. Each level even has a boss battle at the end which makes the game better yet, and you can also set the difficulty level for the game, with the higher difficulty potentially having something extra to offer if you can survive. The icing on top of this awesome "cake" is that you can even go through with a friend and do a two-player campaign to take down the villains. The controls are simple, the levels are extremely fun, and you'll want to replay this game again and again. Let's face it, who wouldn't have a blast beating up on enemies with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?!? Cowabunga!!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SNES)

Turtles in Time is a very entertaining game. It is a fighting-style game where you can pick any one of the four different turtles. Each turtles has his own different weapon and different fighting moves. The only flaw is that there is no way of saving your progress. Each time you start the game, you have to start from the very first level.

One word describes this game: AMAZING

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I want to start off by saying this is my favorite Ninja Turtles game ever produced. Its a classic 1-2 player beat 'em up and never gets boring to play.

I purchased this game because a.) I am collector. b.) I wanted to play the GAME and relive my childhood memories. c.) I had the box and manual but no cartridge. d.) it was fairly priced and holds its value

There are no dislikes for me about TMNT 4: Turtles in Time. Everything about it is great.

Comparing this one to the other Turtles games that have been made previously to this game...They do not compare. The Hyperstone Heist for Sega Genesis was good and is a possible runner up to this one...but the NES Turtles games; 1, 2: the Arcade game and 3: the Manhattan project do not come close to this game.
Now before you make up your mind..I want to also state that those NES games are very good (except for the first one - because its very challenging and it has bad controls).

Conclusion to my rather brief review:
If you are a turtles fan and a gamer then save your money and money buy this game. If you do not have a Super Nintendo...save more money and buy a SNES AND this game.
