TaylorMade r5 Dual 7 Wood
Created: 09/08/06
I bought this club to match up with my r5 Dual 10.5 degree driver and 5 wood, both of which I really like. The 7 wood is equally pleasing. The two fixed weights provide forgiveness on off-center hits, and help get the ball up in the air. The bottom curve of the club face is relatively 'flat', providing more effective hitting area. Unlike some lighter hybrids, you don't "lose" the club in your backswing. It's great for a 200+ yard par 3, and approaches to a long par 4 or 5. I got the S-flex staff, right for me even though I'm not a speed-swinger. In my opinion, a very good club for an average golfer.

TaylorMade r5 Dual 3 wood
Created: 09/04/08
I started playing golf again after about 20 years and had bought a less expensive set a few years ago. This season it was time to upgrade. After reading reviews, I decided on the TaylorMade driver and woods. The 3 wood was my second ebay purchase after the r5 Dual driver. The 3 wood was a bargain price and in perfect condition, basically brand new. The next purchase is the 5 and 7 fairway wood. Golf is not a cheap sport or hobby, but ebay is the best way to piece together a great set as my money allows. I am even outfitting my son a new golf set through ebay.

Taylor Made R5 Dual Fairway 5 wood
Created: 12/08/07
Although an older generation of the Taylor Made family, this club was purchased primarily becasue I bought the 7 wood in early 2007 and really liked the way it looked, hit, and felt so much, and that I couldn't miss it. The 5 wood was added to get more yards out of what is literally the same club and quality that Taylor Made clubs offer. Everything in my bag is Taylor Made except a Scotty Cameron putter, and this club is as easy to hit as it looks + looks great at address. The R5 Dual's hava a slightly bigger profile than the V Steel fairway woods that I was playing, and makes it feel like there's more @$$ behind it. A great club series that I am now looking to also add the 3 wood. If you like hitting Hybrid's and the way they look > I would reccomend the V Steel series of Taylor Made metal woods, yet if you like looking at a bigger profile and something that gives you the same feeling as that first 460cc driver you ever hit and felt you couldn't miss it > The R5 Dual Fairway woods from Taylor Made will give you that feeling.

Hefty price, Great Woods.

I own a set of R5 dual woods with Mas2 50 gram shaft. The woods are easy to hit and lightweight. The 7 wood is my favorite club-- the ball shoots off the face. Theyre easier to make contact than Big Bertha II, Steelhead, and Hawk Eye woods. The downside is the price, but I've found its worth it.
