TaylorMade TP xFT Wedge Golf Club
Created: 04/11/11
I have both the 54 and 58 degree. Still have Z grooves in them and I am re-learning control of all the spin I get on the ball again. Both mine have the KBS Wedge Flex shafts and I love them. I'm 58 years old and had been using 56 and 60 degree wedges before. I had lost 8-10 yards off each wedge in the past few years. I've now re-gained my distance plus I increased the bounce to 12 degree on both. I absolutely love to chip with my 58 degree. Great bite on the ball again and perfect control. Getting out of the sand is even easier with the increased bounce. Two years ago I was a 4.5 handicap but had been steadily going up unti I got to a 9.5. Much of this to do with bad wedge play. I now regularly shoot in the 76-81 range and my handicap is falling rapidly.
The only unusual thing is they sound "different" when you hit the ball. Almost sound a little hollow but I think that is just the interchangeable face pocket. All my friends at first said they sound funny and then I let them hit them. Now they want to know where they can buy one. One of my friends was a die-hard Vokey wedge man. He now has 50, 54 and 58 degree wedges just like mine. Try them and you'll love them.

Great Club for the changing times

The TM TP xFT wedge is a club that really helps both the serious golfer and the weekend golfer. You can change faces depending on your situation. Play the X- conforming face for touranments and then playing with your buddies screw in the Z- face to get that extra spin. This is a club that you can win in any situation.

I play both PGA professional tournaments and non PGA sponsored events. This wedge provides great performance and versatility. I've played cleveland wedges for 14 years - I tried a vokey recently but it spins too much w/ square grooves. This club is very consistent and as solid as the vokey or the cleveland - I guess w/ replaceable faces I'm never going back!

It is made by TaylorMade and That should be good enough. This TP XFT Wedge has good weight. The removiable Faceplate works only with the R-9 Rench, Aproximately 40 Inch. Lbs of Torque.does the Trick in securing This Face Plate. This allows you to Quickly exchange an old wornout wedge face plate for a brand new one..ECG
