TaylorMade R580 Fairway Wood

Probably one of the last true quality fairway woods ever made. Entire club-head was made out of titanium, with a weight cartridge located in the back, designed to help getting the ball up. Very similar design to the famous Orlimar Plus series fairway woods. Anyway, if you let the club do the work, the ball flies true. Excellent visual setup, craftsmanship, and playability. One thing to consider, depending on your interpretation of shaft flexes, I and many others feel that the shafts on this particular model were or are a bit soft. I would recommend going up on a flex stiffer than normal, or think about re-shafting by a competent club professional. Once that is accomplished, and yes I'm aware of the extra cost, you'll have a fairway wood for life that you won't ever have to replace. I hope this helped.

Kind of hard to use my clubs up her in the tundra, keep losing golf balls in the snow. Nevertheless, am looking forward to testing this club and others I have aquired this winter. Love my Taylor Made R7 Driver, hope to enjoy the R580.

I have other R580 woods and wanted to complete the set. It arrived on time and I was anxious to go to the driving range. I absolutely love these R580 including this one. I hit straight and it goes the right distance. I can't wait to go play on the golf course. Excellent choice of product and site to purchase.

I think these are by far the BEST TaylorMade Fairway woods.They are easy to hit,they look great and the sound of the ball coming off the Ti faces is sweet music to your ears.
