) It's cheaper than it looks, and I can't get the light on the microscope to work. The viewing pieces are hard to see out of and the level of detail was disappointing to me. I believe it is a good beginner set and the pre-made slides for the microscope are really cool.

My mother-in-law gave this to our son and he loves it. It is easy to use and very clear so he enjoys astronomy now. It is an excellent telescope to begin stargazing with because of it's ease of use and lightweight portability. You get a great shot of the moon and other stars which gets people excited. My dad has a bigger one with a bigger lens but it is hard to focus--not this one--it can get clear quickly.
