I bought this lens for my Sony Alpha 35 ( APS). I was looking for a all purpose lens for travelling. Tamron 24-135 zoom with my Sony A35 shows great sharpness and color with the lens vs. my Sony lenses. My most usefull range 24-135, 24 mm wide angle.Pretty light weight, good optic results. The price for this good lens was low (199 $). Recommend it and will have it attached in most cases.
I bought this lens for my Sony Alpha 850 (full frame sensor, no APS). I was looking for a all purpose lens for travelling.
For APS-Cameras it is also working (about 36-200mm)
I tried it during a two weeks trip through Spain. I am very content. Pretty light weight, good optic results. Slight darkening in the corners at 24mm and open aperture (can be corrected with Photoshop). Distortion is pretty little. Minimum object distance is 40cm, good for close-ups.
The lens is easy to handle. The only negative thing is the relative small aperture (3.5 - 5.6); the Sigma lens is a half step better (2.8 - 4,5) but also heavier.
The price for this good lens was unbeatable (199 $).
Would buy it ever again.
Mated this Tamron 24-135 zoom with my Sony A35 and it shows great sharpness and color with the lens vs. my Sony lenses. Has good contrast also with each shot compared to the 55-200 Sony. The Sony is a bit sharper but not by much. Very happy with the 24 mm wide angle. Outside shots fair better than flash since it does not have a D distance for flash feature. Recommend it and will have it attached in most cases.
