Good ink but comes with a price

Don't be fooled. Epson has sued ink manufacturers that refill and try to infringe on their patents both with chip and ink technology. Wiki the Epson ink controversy. So any thirdparty "compatible" ink isnt very compatible. In fact, many Epson printers have gone to the junk yard from owners trying to ssave a few bucks.

With that said, Epson ink works good. Water and smudeg resistance is nice. However, Did you ever wonder why the ink goes so fast? Well thank Epson technology that has produced increasingly smaller cartridge capacity with ever so decreasing real life print margins. Basically your printer must use ink to charge itself and keep itself clean. The latter is ink you never will see. Trust the print yields? Well don't. If you are not printing non-stop, the ink yields fall to lower yields than HP gives, and you pay more.

Not worth it in my opinion for durabrite ink. If you print photo's and use claria ink, you might want to put up with it for the superior image quality and water and smudge resistance, but otherwise, you would be better off finding a new printer with less hassle.

Ebay is the best place to buy these printer cartridges

There is nothing technically wrong with any of the Epson 69 Ink Cartridges.
They work fine in the printer. They happen to expensive and do not seem to hold much ink. I go through the the cartridges once every couple of weeks. A set of all 4 cartridges - black, cyan, magenta and yellow is $55.00 plus tax at a retail store. I can get the same cartridges on ebay for much less than that.

Epson Cartridges Less Bang for Your Buck!

Epson really has a gimmick going here. Epson cartridges are expensive, don't last as long as my HP cartridges, and the machine locks up when one of the cartridges goes empty. It won't let you print until you replace the empty cartridge. That means I always have to have extras on hand. Technically, the cartridges work fine. Recylcing is a bit of problem as there aren't that many places that take Epson cartridges. Next printer, I go back to HP.

LASTS LONGER THAN OTHERS. BETTER THAN THE NO NAME BRANDS, THAT ARE ON EBAY. EVEN EXPIRED PACKS WORK BETTER THAN THE CHEAP ONES. SADLY CAN'T REFILL BUT STILL A BETTER BARGAIN THEN BUYING FROM CHINA! STILL HATE THE PRICE FOR INK! A WATER-BASED SUBSTANCE COSTS TOO MUCH TO NOT LAST ..
