Swarovski is a well known and well respected name in optics. For birders, the Swaro binoculars are top of the line. These are fine European roof prism binoculars that if cared for, will last a lifetime. The binoculars come with a factory coating on all lenses and prisms. It is called Swarobright so named because it cuts reflections and controls color spectrums to produce the sharpest resolution.
In short, a fine pair of optical glass.
A fantastic birding binocular. The optics are superb, the light gathering ability out of this world. The binoculars are extremely well balanced and the depression for the thumbs is ergonomically perfect. I had a pair and just had to get one for my wife.
You just can't beat the sharp, crisp image through these bins. I already own Leica Ultravid 10X42's and I purchased the Swarovski's for their wider field of view which is priceless while birding in dense cover. The bonus with the Swarovski's is the close focusing ability. These bins are unbeatable in dim light conditions as well. Wish I would have purchased these sooner.
This is by far the best money can buy. They are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Think of It as a one time deal for life. I have owned several in the past, leupold, steiner, etc. and these are no comparision!!! You wont be sorry.
