Dario Argento's supernatural thriller "Suspiria" in a limited run of 60,000 (each copy is numbered). This set contains two DVDs and the soundtrack CD by Goblin. My only complaint with this set is that the second DVD runs slightly under an hour. I have the feeling, this would have all fit on one disc. That being said, the bonus features are good, with an hour long director and cast interview being the highlight (all of disc 2). Suspiria is a very different take on the classic horror film with its lavish colors and powerful soundtrack. The soundtrack CD is an enjoyable listen, those familiar with the group Goblin will know what to expect. But, for those who don't, I would describe they're sound to be similar to King Crimson or early Pink Floyd. All in all I think this a great set for fans of the movie or Argento's work. For the newcomer I think the single disc edition might be a better choice.
I love unique, underground horror movies so I decided to check out Suspiria by Dario Argento. I liked that the movie was packaged well so it didn't have any damage done to it. The movie was great because it also came with a bonus dvd with extra features which was great. I can't say too much about disliking it. I will say though that director Lucio Fulci absolutely nails horror while Dario Argento just does it ok. Otherwise it was a wise purchase which just adds to my horror collection!
susperia is one of the better gialios and is a must see for any horror fan. this edition includes an extra DVD with an interesting documentary. but the real value is the in an added CD that has the excellent soundtrack by the Italian band goblin. overall i would recommend this edition to any fan of the film
Blue Underground released this Special Edition in 2007. This is an extremely moody horror masterpiece from Dario Argento. Copies of this title float around from time to time including an Anchorbay release that is usually cheaper than this edition, but I say spend the extra money for Blue Underground's Special Edition with 25th Anniversary interviews with Argento.
I am a collector of SUSPIRIA: in fact, it is my favourite horror movies of all times. I was looking for this edition for a long time. Perfect in each point of view (graphic, audio and video to the top quality). The presence of the original soundtrack by GOBLIN gives the maximum rating to this product. Surely hard to find item, because this is a limited edition.
Dario Argento as its best ever!
Fear, blood, witchcraft and gloomy atmosphere in a real "must" for every fan of horror cinema in the World. Believe it or not, it's not because I'm italian as its directory, but this is a real masterpiece.
