I bought this product as a Christmas gift for my brother. He really enjoyed it. He said it was a good tie-in from the series. I also bought Bobby Singer's guide to hunting, but he preferred this one since they use it in a lot of the episodes.
I'm new to Supernatural and thought this book might shed some insight to the John Winchester character, even if it was just someone else's opinion and not necessarily Kripke's. The book was well written and the little details included helped to flesh out the character I previously only referred to as the SOB father. Worth reading but remember, it wasn't written by the Prophet Chuck.
I really loved it. It is John's journal with all his feelings, information he has gathered, thoughts on Dean and Sam. It is the book that Dean and Sam have with them and use. I highly recommend it for any die hard fan of Supernatural.
