Mario All-Stars

I'm not really into the whole video game thing, but I do enjoy Super Nintendo (fond memories). Mario All-Stars is a classic, it has all the well-known Mario games in one cartridge. If you're a Super Nintendo fan it's definitely a must have!

All the Marios On 1 Game - 'Nuff Said! Plus Rare Bonus!

Super Mario might simply have the distiction of being the greatest collection of games ever and when you add Lost Levels, it only adds to this mystique; sure, Sonic Adventures on a much better system has surpassed it, but you can't blame Super Mario for that. It still offers some key advantages over Sonic Adventures: it offers a variety of great games and it's a collectors gold mine(you'll play it and remember back in the day). Super Mario 1 is updated in this package. I remember playing the unique Super Mario 2 and having hours of fun throwing projectiles at the bad guys. Super Mario 2 is way better than the original in SMA. Super Mario 3 is the best of this series and it is included as well. It also, has a bonus game: Lost Levels that is a contrast from the others and offers a serious, serious challenge. It is one game and yet it is a collection of unforgettable games, so you no longer have to carry around 3 games on an obsolete and inferior system or you don't even have to look for Lost Levels, which is so rare that you'll never find it anyway. This collection ranks in my top 10 and might be higher on some of your lists. No matter whether you played these then or 30 years from now, you'll still love them, probably as much as you did then, as they will not fade with time!

It allows saving, which is a benefit for games like Mario and which the NES could not do.

Why did the Marvel megahits make it so low on my list? Well, they are some of greatest games, but the first game on my list envelops all 3 of these Marvel hits and it is light years above all 3. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 sort of makes me forget about the others. You'll undoubtedly love all the games on this list!

Not a huge fan, but a great update to the series

I never really got all whacked out when it came to Super Mario Bros or its sequels. They are good games and I do appreciate what they contribute to the gaming industry because without them, video games as we know it wouldn't exist. They just couldn't hold my attention like many lesser games did. Maybe I am just adverse to things that everyone raves about. When I purchased a copy of SMB All Stars, I was surprised how a 16 bit upgrade changed how I viewed this beloved series.

I am an old school gamer and I believe that graphical quality can make or break a game. This isn't always the case, but it is hard to play a game if it looks ugly and bland. I expected a nice graphic upgrade and I wasn't disappointed. The levels seem more alive and vibrant thanks to the superior power of the SNES. I am not saying the old Marios had terrible graphics for their time, in fact, they set the standard. But it is amazing how better graphics can enhance a gaming experience.

The music in the Mario games has always been memorable. Its shiny and happy, helping set the tone of the games. I usually prefer the more intense, melancholy music of say, Castlevania, but that is a matter of tastes. The SNES has a nice sound chip and SMB All Stars makes good use of it. I particularly enjoyed how the sound echos in certain stages.

One of the things that made the Mario games so accessible was their gameplay. Anyone could pick up the controller and play, but it had enough depth for hardcore gamers to impress their friends with how quickly they could beat the game or achieve a high score. The gameplay remains unchanged, for the most part, but why try to improve something that doesn't need to be improved.

I will always prefer more adult and violent games as opposed to a fluffy and cuddly Mario game, but SMB All Stars gave me a chance to enjoy the classic games with a new perspective. I do own the old NES versions, but I am more likely to play SMB All Stars instead of the originals.

The Best Game Out There For The Super Nintendo

This is the ultimate game for the Super Nintendo. You get four Mario games that were created and sold for the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). But instead of seeing the 8 bit graphics. Nintendo gave the four games a 16 bit graphic face lift. You will recieve Super Mario Brothers. Super Mario Brothers The Lost Levels. (This game was supposed to be called Super Mario Brtohers 2, but Nintendo felt this game was too hard for American buyers to play, so it was only released in Japan, Nintendo was right, I still cannot beat this game. I get up to 8-3) Super Mario Brothers 2 (I forgot what this game was supposed to be called, but it had to deal with donkeys, and was not going to have Mario or any of Mario co stars in this game) Nintendo assumed (and they assumed right) that no one would care about Donkeys, and change the characters to Mario and friends. Finally you will recieve one of the Best Mario Games of all times Super Mario Brothers 3 (my favorite zone was the 4th world, big world).

Not only do you get 4 original mario games, but you can also save your games at any time. Yes that is correct, you don't have to finish a game in one setting. You get 5 slots for each game to save a new file on.

If you're buying a Super Nintendo, this game should be your next purchase.

Nintendo has several names that are synonymous with their brand. Link, Samus, Donkey Kong; the list goes on and on. And you can guarantee that if a new Nintendo system is going to be released, there's going to be a game released with one of those characters involved. But, there's none more famous than the mustachioed plumber known simply as Mario.

When I was growing up, me and my brother were video game fanatics. We had several consoles growing up, but the one I remember the most was the Super Nintendo. So many great games and memories were made with that console. It was those memories and games that made me purchase another SNES console early 2012.

So, when making a list of all the games I needed to collect, there was one that made the top 5 on the list. That game was Super Mario All Stars. It was pretty much the best deal in games besides Kirby Super Star, which boasted an unbelievable 8 games in 1. Super Mario All Stars featured the classic NES Mario games, with new save features, and even included the Lost Levels of Super Mario. With 4 classic Mario games in 1, there was no way I could pass this one up.

Mario has been a flagship character on the S.S. Nintendo and will continue to flourish so long as there is a princess or a world needing to be saved.
