Movie synopsis
The STARGATE universe is exhilaratingly expanded and the epic feel of the franchise is perfected in this acclaimed spin-off of the STARGATE SG-1 series, itself spun-off from the 1994 blockbuster from director Roland Emmerich. In STARGATE: ATLANTIS, an international crew of scientists and soldiers finds yet another Stargate...one which leads to the Lost City of Atlantis. This Stargate, though, isn't on Earth but in the far-away Pegasus Galaxy, and the secret city holds a formidable new enemy--the Wraith. With this fourth season of the hit sci-fi series, things take a turn in a bleak new direction, with team leader Dr. Weir injured and captured by the evil Asurans as the damaged city of Atlantis drifts through space. Meanwhile, McKay reprograms the Asuran base code, causing the alien race to wage a war with the Wraith. Finally, hybrid Michael plays against both the humans and his own former Wraith race as this electric season hurtles toward its thrilling conclusion.

Much improved season

Review For: Stargate: Atlantis - Season 4 (DVD, 2009, 5-Disc Set)

Since being a sci-fi fan of almost anything that is sci-fi, I really love how this season developed into a more human-oriented story lines and plots. Simple and straight-forward plots that's easy to grasp and understand. The only thing that is hard to digest is the constant blabber of scientific words that to us fans, meant nothing!

The addition of a new base commander (col. Sam Carter) has added a touch of someone who knows what to expect from these kind of missions being in one of the most recognizable teams of the stargate series.

Over-all, I can't wait for the next season to begin and find out if it can outdo the achievements of the past season in terms of story lines and plots.

Stargate Atlantis

Stargate Atlantis is a great extension of the original Stargate series. If you liked the original series, you'll like Atlantis. Same sort of plots; it is a lot like the original with different people and different foes. The Wraith are a very bad and ugly group of aliens who feed on humans of all types. Once you watch season one, you'll go back for more. Atlantis has indeed “risen” to be one of my favorite TV shows.

I have always enjoyed Stargate. It just seemed to follow when the original ended to follow this new one. I really like Science Fiction. especially in Outer Space....

Stargate Atlantis season 4

I have just started watching this season both with anticipation and with dread. Anticipation because now I will find out what happens for the new season.....dread because this is the next to last season. It always seems that when I find a series that I like it gets canceled.... I think you will like this season....Especially since Colonel Samantha Carter is now the head of the Atlantis expedition.....the best smile on television.

Great Product from a Great Seller

I bought the DVD Atlantis- Season 4 two weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the speed of the delievery and the quality of the DVD's! It was perfect timing so I could continue watching my favorite show. I do not have any complaints. I would and will buy more dvd's from this seller. The DVD's where new and they play fine. Wish the show was still on!
