Movie synopsis
In the second installment of the Star Wars series, EPISODE II--ATTACK OF THE CLONES, Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) is now a teenage Jedi apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor). Together they must protect Senator Padme Amidala (Natalie Portman) from a militant group of political activists that is trying to assassinate her. This group is led by the evil Count Dooku (Christopher Lee). Among other troubles, Anakin faces some hard choices as he begins to fall for Padme, knowing this love is forbidden by the Jedi knights' creed. In addition, Anakin begins to show his rebellious attraction to the dark side--which will eventually conquer him, when he becomes the future Darth Vader. The story is set 10 years after STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE, and there are appearances by some of PHANTOM's characters, including Jar Jar Binks. CLONES also brings back familiar faces from the original STAR WARS: the lovable droids R2D2 and C3PO, and Yoda, who plays a key role in this film. Lucas creates an impressive array of beautifully rendered alien planets and beings, sleek spaceships, and dazzling effects; he remains at the head of the class in terms of technical ability and visual imagination. The film's climactic final sequences show the magic with which CLONES' earns its place as part of the beloved STAR WARS series.

Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones

Review For: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (DVD, 2002, 2-Disc Set, Widescreen; Special Edition)

The second movie of the first Star Wars trilogy, this movie captures the spirit of the Star Wars universe. We see padawan Anakin Skywalker begin to evolve towards his fate as Darth Vader. The love story is a little weak and rushed but there is a lot to tell in this tale. The special effects are dynamic and the pounding score by John Williams compliments the action nicely. A must see for all fans of the previous trilogy as well as sci-fi lovers everywhere. May the force be with you!

Not my favorite but still Excellent

Review For: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (DVD, 2002, 2-Disc Set, Widescreen; Special Edition)

Attack of the Clones, while not my favorite Star Wars Episode, is still Excellent. It is a major improvement over The Phantom Menace but not quite as good as Revenge of the Sith, The Empire Strikes Back, or Return of the Jedi. Possibly the best part of Attack of the Clones is the depth in Character Development. It really gives you a sense of Star Wars and it's characters is all about.

Star Wars - Attack of the Clones

WHAT I LIKE:

I like it because the graphics are great and the story plot is explosive.
There is some typical Lucas humor intricately interwoven, but the most of the movie involves the creating and evolving of the empire which will later be ruled by the emporer and commanded by Darth Vader.

WHAT I DO NOT LIKE

Annakin Skywalker plays a Jedi with rapidly increasing Jedi powers - but his role is rather emotional (and illogical) when he gets around Padme Amadala, the love of his life. He becomes whiney and like jello and often expresses lack of control because of his "feelings" for Padme.

Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002, DVD)

Review For: Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (DVD, 2002, 2-Disc Set, Widescreen; Special Edition)

George Lucas has done it again with this next in a new trilogy collection. I can't wait until his Star Wars: Clones Wars animated comes out Aug.15, 2008. I was hoping that he would continue by filling in the 2 original trilogy's. Also I hope he goes & makes an after the trilogy movie set to show where Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca & your favorite droids C-3PO & R2D2 go & do after the destruction of the Empire. George Lucas has & will always show us the way of the force & I hope he never stop's. Two Thumbs Up from me.
