Product Information
With the recent end of the Dominion War, the three major powers of Alpha Quadrant begin their plans for the future. An uncomfortable peace settles over the galaxy. Federation planets begin their process for recovery and the USS Enterprise-E is assigned to re-establish Federation support in many devastated systems of the quadrant. On the Klingon home world, newly appointed Chancellor Martok is working closely with Federation Ambassador Worf to restore the empire to its former glory.

The Romulan Senate and its intelligence division, the Tal Shiar, devise a plan to tip the balance of power in their favor. Admiral Sela begins secret negotiations with unseen allied forces near the Klingon border. On top of all this, the Borg have returned in full force.

You must control fleets of Federation ships to complete universally important missions. The fate of the galaxy depends on your actions! Defeat the enemy factions and the Borg and return peace to the Alpha Quadrant.

Star Trek: Armada can be played in two modes. The single player game begins your campaign to save the galaxy and restore peace. The first of such missions is the Federation Campaign, in which you build stations, establish dilithium mining operations, evade Klingon birds of prey and protect spaceships and stations from being destroyed. Throughout the game, you control each of the four different races and then take on the Borg using all your allied forces! When each mission's specific goals have been completed, a video containing objectives of your next mission is shown. In multi-player mode, you choose which of the four races to command and battle against players over the Internet or a LAN.

The game features many different ships available for you to command. The fighter ships help destroy enemies along with the USS Enterprise-E. Construction ships allow you to build stations and dilithium mining outposts while space stations provide the platform to create several different ships and gun turrets to aid in your battles. From Worf to Captain Picard, you'll hear the real cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation when you give commands to your ships and watch the animated video stories.

The entire galaxy is relying on you to destroy the oncoming hordes of Borg ships or humanity, as well as other races in the galaxy, will not survive. Without your help, the Borg will obliterate the Alpha Quadrant. Battle stations!

    Star Trek: Armada

This is game is awesome. I would definitely recommend this game to all my friends. The only draw back I have noticed is that you cannot build Galaxy Class ships. Otherwise, it is one of the best Star Trek game I played.

This is one of the best Star Trek games.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This Games takes place directly following the end of The Dominion war. it shows the path opr CaptaiN jean-Luc Picard, Ambassador Worf, Admeral Sela and The borg to play as The United Federartion of Panets, THe Klinogon Empire, The Romulan Star Empire and even the Borg Collective. THere is also m,utiplayer which allows you two face oppenants on line or against the COPU in instant action.

To boldly go where no one has gone before...

If you are a trekkie or simply love the Star Trek universe and the things associated with it this is the game for you. Obviously it is inferior to Star Trek Armada II but it also has some distict advantages. The first is cost. You will pay a mere pittance for Armada (somewhere between $5-15 plus shipping is average) while Aramada II can run upwards to $100 dollars. Second, both games can be modified or modded (in fact, they use what's called an object definition file [ODF] which uses plain text attributes to define ship stats--please make sure you know what you are doing or you will need to reload your game). Third, the simplicity of this game and the greater array of free tools for it make it easier to mod than Armada II. However, if you are not interested in modding it is simply a fun game. Command the USS Enterprise-E (Sovereign Class), the USS Avenger (Defiant Class) and many other familar ship classes. NOTE: this game does not contain a buildable Galaxy Class or Intrepid Class [USS Voyager] at all however it does contain many others. If you can afford Armada II it is most definately the better game but for the cost Armada is excellent.

    Startrek Armada

About 6 years ago I played Startrek Armada and I loved it, but I could only play it for about an hour and they I had to leave. I decided to buy it just recently and I am very dissapointed. It seems that the game I played all those years ago was actually Startrek Armada II. It had all kinds of ships in it including the Galaxy class ship. The game I have now doesn't even have the Galaxy class ship. I remember being able to order the ship to seperate and then you would have control of both ships. It seems I will have to buy the second game and try to sell this one.

A must have for any Star Trek and RTS enthusiast.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I have had this game since it first came out, and lately my brother and I wanted to have multiple copies so we could play it on our LAN. The game is awesome, similar to age of empires, but with a star trek theme, which is my favorite. Its pretty straight forward, not really complicated in my opinion. If you like RTS games and Star Trek, this game is a must have.
