MY FIRST TIME I SAW THIS MOVIE IN 2000 WHEN I WAS A KID IN SCHOOL ABOUT THE HISTORY ABOUT THE THANKSGIVING IS ALL ABOUT. SINCE SQUANTO GOT KIDNAPPED BY THE EXPLORERS AND TAKEN HIM TO THE DIFFERENT WORLD. HE WENT TO ENGLAND. SOON, HE ESCAPED AND TOOK THE BOAT TO GO BACK HOME. BUT THE STORM HITS HIM AND PUSH BACK TO THE DIFFERENT PLACE OF ENGLAND. HE GOT RESCUED BY THE RELIGIOUS PEOPLE AND TAUGHT TO SPEAK ENGLISH AND LEARNING FROM THE BIBLE. LATER ON, SQUANTO WENT TO THE EXPLORER'S SHIP AND RETURN HOME. BUT HIS HOME GOT DESTROY AND HIS PEOPLE ARE DEAD. HE WAS A LAST ONE OF HIS KIND. THEN, THE PILGRIMS LAND ON HIS HOME AND SQUANTO CAME PEACE WITH THEM. HE TAUGHT THEM ABOUT THE LAND HE KNOW, TAUGHT SPEAK ENGLISH, AND LEARNING FROM THE BIBLE. AND SO, THEY MADE A THANKSGIVING. PILGRIMS AND INDIANS ARE EATING TOGETHER. SQUANTO SHOULD NEVER FORGET WHERE HE HAS BEEN AND WE SHOULD NEVER FORGET WHAT THE THANKSGIVING IS ALL ABOUT.
Action packed movie. Great for the whole family. Accurately tells the true story of Squanto and he made the first Thanksgiving possible.
Who doesn't like Native Hotties Adam Beach and Eric Schweig!!!! They are excellent in this Native American Action Adventure Drama. I could watch it over and over. Impressive as they try to help the settlers and bring a peaceful end to this movie.
I don't know if it is historically accurate but I enjoyed it and my grandchildren asked to watch it again. I had them watch it because it portrays the way many people viewed Native Americans. There are many lessons to be learned from the film. I enjoyed Mandy Patinkin in his role as the friar-he played in another of my favorites "The Princess Bride".
I would like to show the movie to my grandkids and give them the idea where my family came from the Pilgrims on Mayflower in Plymouth, MA. It is very interesting and action.. Thanks. Smile
