|Get ready to swing into free-roaming, web-slinging action with SPIDER-MAN. Supervillians Dr. Octopus and Venom are up to no good in the teeming Marvel-style metropolis of New York City. It's your heroic duty to bring order to chaos by bashing the bad guys, solving inventive puzzles, and of course, using your special web-spraying powers. Create a web-dome and shield yourself from multiple attackers, cover your fist with web-spikes for added punch, use your webby Zip-line to grab onto ceilings and girders, or simply tie up your foes in super strong netting. Not only will you engage in fierce fisticuffs with criminals and megavillians like Scorpion and Rhino, but you'll also climb walls and sneak past enemies with strategy and stealth. Your "Spidey Sense" warns you of impending danger and even lets you know from which direction it's coming with on-screen red arrows. As you play you can listen to the voice of Stan Lee himself, interact with Daredevil, the Black Cat, and your alter ego's grumpy boss at the Daily Bugle, J. Jonah Jameson, in SPIDER-MAN from Treyarch and NeverSoft.|

Given it's nothing like the spiderman games that are out now, but this game was what us old school video gamers had in 1982. Spiderman is pretty much just a blue and red human shaped figure that climbs and swings on buildings catching bad guys and trying to stop the green goblin and the bomb ol' gobby has hidden on top of each building. Like most atari games it's the same level after another, just gets to be taller and shorter amount of time to clear. Really quite a challenge for such a simple idea of a game.
Wow , talk about a great Atari game from the past. I still own this and every once in a while we haul out the old 2600 and start playing. i think it is funny how back in the day i could play these games for hours upon hours but now they get boring in about 10 minutes. This is lame at best but still cool. You clinb up the side of a building and swing to dodge crap that is falling.
I had this game 25 years ago as a child, and it is just as fun to play today as then. It brings back memories and is still quite challenging as my eye to hand coordination has deteriorated somewhat. If you like good superhero games, this one comes in high, even better than the classic Superman.
Article in very good condition, i buyed it only for collection. The first game i have been played in my life in a wooden 2600.
