This ebook is an excellent gift for your friend or yourself.
You can work on the Internet using WiFi, but screen is too small for comfortable working.
But the greatest advantage is a text view on the display.
You can change type and size of the letters.
Disadvantages are concerned with glare panels on each side and on the bottom side of Sony PRS T1, but you can hide them under cover(not original) of the book.
A year and a half ago, after I browsed thru different products, I got me for Christmas this Sony ereader from Target. I love the fact that it has a Wi-Fi card in it, and it can read free epub books, and that it has an audio player.
My daughter is eight and she devours books weekly. She does have a cheapo netbook, but I wanted her to share the same joy of mine of having a whole library of books on a reliable ereader. When I have the opportunity we open the same book and read outloud for an hour or more, alternating with each page. Sometimes we stop and wonder about the meaning of a word, but the good people from Sony put a dictionary in their ereader to help us.
The reason I bought this ereader, not the newer version from Sony, was the fact that is had the capability of playing MP3 files. One day, when we get lazy, I’ll show my lil’ girl audio books from librivox...
My younger boys got kindle fires, but I might get them ereaders too, just because the battery lasts for weeks. They’re not into reading though... but they like Sony PS3 a lot, I mean A LOT! Those Lego games...
This is great product. I enjoy reading it and it change my books library - I put in over 20000 book and it is not limit.
Compare to others e-books I prefer Sony co. because they develop the best on the market.
What I am not like is: low speed, time to time "frezing" and
price.I think optimum cost should be around 40 to 50 dollars.
Convenient and light book. Touchscreen does not interfere with reading, supports two-finger input, via wifi you can read the wiki and spend a couple hours on the self), the text clear and not straining your eyes. If only reading fb2 format, without the patch, and the case would not be so expensive (30% of the city) would be just fine.
Good quality display. High speed CPU. Sensitive touch screen. Android operation system and possibility of installation own programs.
