Capable of shooting some very nice photos; fast Live View AF and single-shot performance; tiltable LCD; dual card slots; relatively simple, straightforward operation; built-in wireless flash and image stabilization.
Smallish grip; middling viewfinder; color shifts with default settings.
While the Sony Alpha DSLR-A380 is a solid inexpensive dSLR with a few nice features that will probably satisfy many shooters, it doesn't deliver quite enough on any front to outshine competitors.

This is a very nice camera with an abundance of features. Perfect choice for a professional wanna-be. I take photos for both business & pleasure. Ease of use is astounding. Manual is easy to follow as well as the menu screen. Accessories are never ending. I would highly recommend this model to anyone.
Wish it had video nice camera easy to deal with.
It's a Sony camera so quality is there, pictures are clean lightning is great.
Still can't believe it doesn't have video.
Still got a good buy.
Sony just discontinued the A380 and replaced it with the A390, creating a great value for those willing to purchase one model back. The camera handles well and uses the complete line of Minolta/Sony lenses. The learning curve from other sony cameras is almost nonexistant and I used the camera with excellent results the first time without reading the manual.
The Photo package that I purchased from time2envy is a great value. I believe that I would have spent more than $150.00 more if I had purchased everything individually. I only had one issue in the camera bag, I didn't get the one pictured, but was delighted to receive a discount because of it. Look at the changes that might be made from the photos of the offered items and what you receive. Ask questions from the Seller before making a purchase. I will shop with time2envy again and suggest that if you are looking for a great deal on your photography needs, look really hard at time 2envy and I think you'll agree with me that they are a place to get what you are looking for for a great deal.
Oh.. one little nick, The Tripod from "Digital" is a bit on the cheap side. If you are wanting a professional grade tripod with your package, the digital falls way short, I'm not sure I would trust a $700.00 DSLR camera to it, but if you have a $200.00 point and shoot it's fine.
Great seller, and you do get your moneys worth from time2envy A++++
The camera is not cheap. The body frame feels just like a 35 camera. Easy to use. This is a Professional Camara
