Exactly the receiver I needed!

This is a solid, basic receiver - may not have enough bells and whistles for some, but perfectly met my needs. Because I already owned a Sony DM port, I can run an iPod through it, which was my main objective, and can also run a CD player. The tuner is adequate, though like most receiver tuners, won't pick up much of a signal without a good antenna. It has A/B speaker outputs and plenty of power to drive sound through two sets of Polk ceiling speakers, also a primary objective of mine. In all, it was exactly what I needed and seems to have Sony's typically high quality.

Great value and very solid product

I am happy with my purchase of the Sony STR DH100 receiver. It is a very basic model but exactly what I need to support my CD player and i pod. I don't really like the knob which changes the function, I would prefer to have buttons like the older model I had but it works fine.

Don't lose the remote.

I needed a receiver/amp for my pole barn at a reaonable price. This was the one of the best finds for the price. Good sound but antenna that comes with it is weak. Bought a FM dipole with balun to use instead. Simple to use but must use remote to do a lot of the functions. Don't lose the remote.

No Phono input Jack

I bought this Reciever to play my old tapes and LP's
I didn't realize there is no Phono input jack.
If you paln to play LP's you have to also purchase a pre-amp.
Other than that it's a Sony and a good product.

super sound super deal fine investment

i bought this receiver when my 1987 realistic fianally quit the remote is great and has great sound with 100 watts and my 175 watt speakers well worth what i payed.
