This product is awesome!!! I have Windows 7 on my computers and it can play most videos, music and display most pictures found on these devices via the Wi-Fi network. It does great with Netflix and Pandora as well as many, many other options for listening to music of watching videos. The only shortcoming it possesses is it takes awhile after it is turned on for it to connect to the network.
The streaming is relatively good in most of the sites like you tube,roku , hulu vodu ,but no netflicks .the one thing I bought the sony for Ha ,I guess I will continuing streaming on my pc netflicks !!
I bought this product to stream my Netflix account to my Bedroom TV. I also stream alot of programs that I download and I previously used an old clunky PC to do the job. Since this has a USB Port as well I am able to hook up an external Hard Drive and stream everything I have downloaded as well. Works like a charm, and the amount of Free TV that is available on this is incredible as well. It's a great little product, and I'll be buying another one soon.
Mine works Great and actually seeking another one for another room in my home, it connects the first time and works well along with the other apps as well as netflix, I am hoping that more applications can be downloaded or upgraded to it in the near future like redbox movies,.. I would gladly recommend this product and I have so many other people that see mine and wish they had the Sony Media Streamer that I have.
We use it primarily for Netflix. Once connected to the internet it works fine. It almost never connects on the first attempt and usually requires shutting it off and on several times before it works. Tried both wifi and wired connection with no difference.
