I'LL NEVER PART WITH THIS CAMERA!!!

I purchased this camera about 5 years ago and I will probably still have it 50 years from now! Yes, it is a big bulky (not for your shirt pocket) camera, but I don't carry camera's in my shirt pocket anyway!! Seriously, I've been using only this camera for all of my ebay auctions for years. It only has 0.35 megapixels, but my photos always look good. Of course, the quality I suppose could be a tad sharper but it is perfect for what I use it for. Also, to only have .35 mp my photo's look pretty darn good. Also, in all of the 5 years I have owned it, I have not had 1 blurry picture!!! Not one! It has a very good zoom and it is very easy to use. If you are a beginner or don't like camera's that require you read the manual to turn them on, then you will love this one. It has a large LCD screen and lots of different photo options. You can change the color of the pictures from the camera. It has an excellent flash and the battery life is AMAZING! I can charge one battery and it will last for about 300 min's (and I've not replaced the battery in 5 years). I love the fact that I can just pop in a floppy disk and I'm ready to go. Floppies are much cheaper then memory cards and you can just put them into any computer with no problems. Overall, this has been the best camera and I've never had any problems with. It is big, but strong!!
PROS: Good Quality, Durable, Excellent Battery Life, Convient Floppy Disks, Good Zoom, Large LCD
CONS: It's big! Recording time is a little slow but nothing terrible

Great for close-up pics and for sending pics via email attachments.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I bought this camera as a backup to my other same model camera. This is an older 1st generation digital camera which originally cost about $500 when it first hit the market many years ago. But in spite of its oldness, it has all the features that I need to take the type of pictures that I want. Plus with its low mega prixel resolution, it can transmit the pictures thru email in just a few seconds rather than taking several minutes. The floppy disk holds only about 33 pictures, but is more than adequate for my needs. The 10X optical zoom is very handy for taking close-ups of very small items. You can focus down to about an inch of the item and get the item to fill the full frame to see minute details. This camera is not so good in taking group pictures because of its low mega prixel rating. This was an excellent buy for me at only about $20. It works perfectly.

Great for computer dummies **User friendly**

This has to be the easiest camera to use. I think it just might be easier that actual cameras. All you need is a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk and a charged battery and you are on your way to great looking pictures. When you are done all you have to do it take your disk out pop it in the computer and **poof** you have pictures. With most cameras today if you use the preview screen rather than using it in the same fashion as a traditional camera the battery is dead in no time at all so you are likely to miss that once in a life time shot. However this one has great battery life, but as we must all remember it is technology so be prepared with your charger and stay near an outlet so you can charge it if it is sure to be a long day. With the newer cameras out you won't get the best possible picutres but they are still decent looking photos. They do still make this camera however it is newer and with more options but still the 3 1/2 floppy disk which I just saw at Wal-Mart last night. The older ones if you look hard you can still find and they are not going to break the budget within reason.

SONY MAVICA CAMERAS

I HAD A SONY MAVICA FD71 AND LOVED IT. I WANTED ANOTHER SO I BID ON THREE WHICH I FOUND TO BE A MISTAKE AS I ASSUMED THAT I WOULD GET AT LEAST ONE, BUT I GOT ALL THREE. I SUDDENLY WAS THE PROUD OWNER OF FOUR MAVICAS. IT ALL WORKED OUT OK AS TWO OF MY FRIENDS BOUGHT TWO OF THEM AND I ENDED UP WITH A TOTAL OF TWO I WANTED, ONE FD73 AND ONE FD75. THE CAMERAS ARE SUPER FOR PHOTOS BEING USED ON E-BAY AND GENERAL APPLICATIONS. THE FLOPPY DISK MEDIA IS SUPER BECAUSE YOU ONLY DOWNLOAD THOSE SPECIFIC PICTURES YOU WANT AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ALL PICTURES INTO YOUR COMPUTER AS WITH SOME OTHER CAMERA FORMATS REQUIRE. 3-1/2" FLOPPYS ARE INEXPENSIVE AND YOU CAN SAVE THEM WITHOUT MAJOR EXPENSE, PLUS THEY CAN BE RE-FORMATTED AND USED OVER AND OVER. THE SONY MAVICA IS A PERFECT CAMERA FOR ALL PHOTOGRAPHIC NEEDS, INCLUDIING MACRO, EXCEPTING PERHAPS FOR HIGH RESALUTION PORTRAIT OR ENLARGEMENT APPLICATIONS. I AM REAL HAPPY WITH THE CAMERAS AND THE FINAL PURCHASING OUTCOME. THANKS E-BAY.

Beginner Novice ebayer

I have had this camera for 5 years and It is wonderful and easy to operate.I'm not a youngster and my vision is not all that great for using one of those new tiny little cams and LCD screens. This cam has a nice large LCD screen for previewing the pictures. The floppy disc use is a no-brainer (perfect for me!)Now I have to figure out what kind of new computer I can buy so I can still use this camera! This camera has awesome 10x magnification for pictures of the details of jewelry and the operating buttons are large and easy to manipulate for taking pictures. The floppy discs store tons of pictures and they are easily portable. The battery lasts a long time but I can't seem to find a replacement for it or a backup battery in the stores any more!I will be very disappointed if I can't continue using this camera due to the new style computers on the market without floppy drives!
