I'm very pleased with this purchase. I like the Sony quality of cameras. Very Sturdy, and reliable. I bought this camera complete with everything. I previously owned a VX2000 and loved it. This one is a slight upgrade. The only drawback is that it has a previous resolution of 640p and all the latest cameras are on 1080p. I'm hoping they do not discontinue the Mini-DV tapes anytime soon. Other than that this camera is great to use with lots of features and manual tricks.
I mainly use it to film surfing, and commercials. I did a wedding on it already and it turned out great. It has good low light capabilities with a variable exposure control or iris.
Bought for the accessories mostly to use with my Sony VX2000 (older ebay purchase) and to have a back-up camera, all so far has worked out great and I'm very happpy with the purchase.

The Sony 2100 is a very good camera I will recomend it. I love the way it works because I have been using it since 2000 and I have had no problem. It is very good in adjusting when there is light and when there is none.
The Sony VX2100 is a really nice camcorder. Works well in low light. Easy to use. Purchased it used but works like a champ. Works well with Microsoft Vista. Video transfer and editing a snap..
