Great price,well made, great performance, A+++ all the way.

Needed a second DVD/CD player. Bought this Sony due to price, brand and very similar to my older one. I was impressed with how much smaller and lighter weight it is than my other Sony, which is approximately 6 to 7 years old. I bought my older Sony new and paid a good amount for it. This may be a refurbished unit, but looks and works like a new one. I was also impressed with the quality of High Def picture and clarity of sound. Actually slightly better than my older unit. I installed this one in the living room to use for my surround, and installed the other one in the bedroom to be able to watch movies in there. This may not be a high-end unit, but works as well as one. Very happy with my Sony players.

Awesome product.

I love this blu-ray dvd player. It is so simple to set up, and the picture is beautiful. I love being able to play cd's, regular dvd's, as well as the blu-ray dvd's. I have a ton of dvd's and didn't want to have to get rid of them, so I looked for a player that I could play them as well as blu-ray, and this is the one I decided on. Sony products are always great, and this one is no exception. I highly recommend it.

DVD Player Bargain

This refurbished Sony DVP-SR500H DVD Player is the perfect stop gap for those still waiting to get on the BlueRay train but are still waiting for prices to come down. This Sony is too expensive when factory brand new but is a screaming bargain in this refurbished state. Unit works fine with the remote for all my older Sony equipment and the DVD player's digital connections and upconverting abilities make it provide a better picture than my older DVD player that died. All in all, this unit is the perfect item to provide DVD viewing until one is ready to go BlueRay.

Very nice DVD Player. We were looking for something inexpensive to play DVD's we get from the library. This one was a super price and Sony has always said quality to me. Very easy to hook up to my HDTV, got an inexpensive HDMI cable and the picture quality is really great!! Really can't tell a whole lot of difference from our HDTV satellite receiver picture. Overall this is a nice product that I would recommend.

I am very pleased with this purchase. I bought this item to replace an antiquated DVD player that was collecting dust in my son's room that my husband had been promising to connect for years. I was surprised at how simple it was for me to connect (without my husband's assistance) and amazed at the quality of the picture! I find this product to be superior to any other DVD player I have ever purchased and it is extremely lightweight and slim. I would highly recommend this product to any person who is electronically challenged and wants to upgrade an antiquated unit.
