With out having to buy a lot of new equipment (HDTV with HDMI input) this is got to be the best way to go. Not only do you get a DVD changer, as no Blu-Ray changers available yet, but you can watch your movies in 1080P. Playing the same movieS in standard DVD and on Blu-Ray looking at the same frames from the same movie I could not see any clarity difference. On top of that the sound affects from 6.1 DTS ES on a standard DVD sounds no better than DTS HD on a Blu-Ray. Same 7.1 speaker setup/reciever for both movies and the sound was equally as good. For now I'll keep buying standard DVDs and save my money for the next best Techno Movie push. Played on a Panasonic 50" 1080P plasma 600hz refresh rate.
This was my third Sony DVD Player. Two before were NC85H models. The reason for purchasing this and the other two Sony's, was the multiple 5 disc feature. The picture and sound quality with this player was impressive. The NC800H up-converting preformed nicely.
Then on the day 47 after purchase. The player did the same exact thing the other two did. The player will attempt to load a disc, "LOADING", then move to the next disc. Same reading on the display screen, "LOADING", until it has gone through all 5 discs. The display then reads "NO DISC".
From my understanding, when the player's display reads, loading and no disc. It is too expensive to repair.
Glad I took out a warranty. Refunded my purchase price.
I've had no choice but to switch to another brand.
This DVP changes is very easy to used and sound and image are great.
Great qualty for the price. You can hook this DVD using optical, analog or HDMI.
I purchased this DVD player to replace a much older version of it that we had purchased back in 1999. We realy liked the old player but it was in need of updating. The nicest feature was that the new one has a zoom on it when the old one did not. It works just as well as are previous one, if not better. For a multi disc changer it is very slimline, at least compared to my older player. I would recomond this to someone.
I've been using this cd/dvd for just over 5 weeks. There have been no problems
and it's used daily. Things I like loading 5 Cd's always nice. Putting in a
full season of Dexter better. You can change a disc while another plays. Hdmi
up-convert gives you near hd picture quality. Things I'm not thrilled with are
it's slow changing disc and a bit on the loud side doing so. This is the machine I was looking for and would recommend it to anyone wanting a multidisc
cd/dvd at a really good price.
