The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V is a feature-filled compact megazoom with very good photo and video quality and fast shooting performance.
The HX7V's photos aren't the sharpest, its interface can be sluggish, and there are a couple of minor design issues.
There's very little not to like about the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX7V, as it solves common snapshot camera issues while still being relatively simple and fun to use.

This camera is a great machine if you need a compact camera that takes extremely good photos and has a good zoom and many features. There are soo many features with this camera that it can be used for almost any purpose.
The smoothness of just how it all works is just great. The main point is when you are videoing, everything is just as smooth as smooth can be, zoom, movement, everything.
Overall....EXCELLENT!!
Great camera for price with amazing features...!!!
Only worry is lagging on changing into different modes.!
But nonetheless it's the best camera for the price! Pretty compact(not ultra compact) with its 10x Zoom!
LCD screen resolution is great & allows crystal clear playback of photos & videos!
I'm extremely happy with the camera & its performance!
If you need a feature complete compact camera this is the one!
This camera takes very good pictures. It has a fast shutter and is good in low light. It is a little larger than most point and shoot cameras but can easily fit in a pocket or pouch. The video was disappointing. It looked great on the camera but when it is played on a computer it is distorted and not worth your time. The still photos were very good and that is what I wanted it for so it meets my needs.
This product seem the best in the market because of the features it provides for the budget I had.
Great quality on pictures but the only thing I dislike was the zoom features, it was on the top of the camera and takes to long make a close up.
As a long time photographer I am continually amazed at the price/performance price/feature of cameras on todays market. The Sony cyber-shot DSC-HX7V is emblematic of great choices consumers have. Capturing the subject was all you asked from the camera - now it stitches together panaroma, burst exposures so you won't ever miss the perfect shot and a 1000 other things. For a few hundred bucks how can you go wrong. AMAZING.
