Not bad for the bucks

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I wanted a cartridge type, but nobody makes them. Unless you buy a used one.
For the money under $80.00, this player is good. The remote control is simple and direct to use, not like others with too many buttons(too complicated). The front control panel of the unit has good layout of its buttons and the LED read out is good. The only problem is loud noise, when changing disc to disc and take a 3 to 4 seconds. I can lived with that, you can't put a sock in it. I like the slide out drawer on the bottom of the unit, that way you can see the LED read-out and its buttons, not the other way-around. I have read other reviews and they gave it a good mark.

The price was the best of all the others.It is just what i needed,and i like Sony products.Matches my other equipment because it is black. Makes my CD'sound good.

Very decent CD player for the money. Works perfectly and comes with a remote control as well. Set up is straight forward and simple.
