The Sonim XP1 has an extremely durable design. It's easy to use and has good call quality.
The Sonim XP1 navigation controls could be a bit more tactile. Also, speakerphone calls were somewhat muffled.
It may not be pretty, but the Sonim XP1 is a rugged GSM cell phone that's built to last. It offers good call quality, too.

The phone is a tough as advertised. The phone has two tradeoffs I can see for this durability (1) the phone has no vibrate option, only ringer off and on. I believe this is to ensure its toughness. (2) the phone is not a water proof as other tough phones however it is much more shock proof. For me that was far more important.
The phone has been easy to use, the sound is loud and clear and I have found the keys easy for larger hands.
this phone is very tough!
the ringer can be VERY loud and there is, indeed, a vibrate function.
you can drop it countless times and it still works.
it is very water resistant, and at least semi-waterproof (it can be submerged for short periods of time, I haven't tried submerging it for longer)
I am very happy with it.
I love the phone! It's compact, and durable but it cannot be used with the Sprint Network...so now I have a phone I can't use unless I come up with the deposit for Verizon....being unlocked I thought it would work. Hubby isn't very happy....200.00 is a lot of money for a phone to gather dust!
looks like a good product, but i could not use it do to i use att it is quad band and the phone is only tri band will buy from them again. very helpful letting me know about it.
i dont know why but the phone cant handle water at all,not even in a small rain..it just turns off and then you have to wait a couple of minutes to turn it on again...other than that failure, all the rest is ok
