Smallville Season 9

Best series ever, great characters, and the best appearances by dc heroes like the JSA, Wonder Twins, Speedy, Zatanna, Martian Manhunter and others. Zod is awesome and the kandorians rock.

Smallville: The Complete Ninth Season

I grew up watching Superman on TV and reading comic books about Superman. Smallville offered a chance to relive my long-ago days and also allowed observations of how current day writers view Superman. The ninth season is the next to last season (10th season will be the last) and much of the previous eight seasons will be cleared up and addressed before the series ends. I had watched intermittently over the years so I choose to buy the ninth season and will also buy the tenth season. It is also nice to watch Tom Welling grow-up even as his character grows up. Once Lana Lang exited, then the path was clear for Lois Lane to take over as the love interest. With a few less characters, the story lines seem to be better and I can hardly wait to see "The Blur" become Superman. Overall it is exceptionally good entertainment and will be missed after the current season ends. It would be nice to once more encounter Lex Luthor and then have a final fight between the two enemies.

Smallville Fans Won't be Disappointed!

I am a loyal Smallville fan and own all 9 seasons. Season 9 is great because Chloe starts the "Watch Tower" ( even though I miss Jimmy Olsen and don't think he should have been killed off ), and she brings Oliver back from the brink and they start a relationship. I love Oliver so its OK with me that he takes Jimmy's place. I don't want either of them to be alone. We get to see how the Justice League gets started. Clark is still struggling with human emotions, so there is no flying yet, but we do see the suit! He doesn't wear it yet, but we see it! He finally ditches the red jacket and blue shirt. Clark (Tom Welling) is yummy in a suit and the black "blur" outfit is great with his family crest being worn proudly on his chest. He is falling in love with Lois Lane and she with him, so there is that. We get to meet the original Justice Society of America too. Hawk Man is great. The only thing I don't really like is the Kandorian refugees (General Zod and friends), and them working with Tess. Tess is not one of my favorite characters either. No One can replace Lex Luthor. I do like the "Red Queen" twist with Martha Kent. Also, Clark is supposed to be the last survivor of Krypton - and yet all these darn Kryptonians keep popping up! Anyway, it is still a great season with a shocking finale. Smallville fans will love adding this to their collection.

Our Favorite series!

My husband and I find this science fiction series to be very entertaining. Non-stop action and interesting characters in each episode. A reminder of the original Superman series with enough differences to keep us in suspense. We look forward to each season. We bought this season nine at a great price.
