Movie synopsis
High-strung, statuesque Nomi Mallone (Elizabeth Berkely) is determined to be a dancer in Las Vegas, whatever it takes--but she starts out as a stripper. Through her seamstress roommate (Gina Ravera), Nomi catches the attention of the voracious bisexual Cristal (Gina Gershon), star of an extravagant pagan sex show called "Goddess" which plays nightly at the swanky Stardust Casino. Through Cristal's influence, Nomi gets a chance to audition for "Goddess" and is soon involved in all sorts of sordid backstage goings-on, including bitchy dueling with Cristal over Stardust head honcho Zack (Kyle McLachlan). Maligned by many critics upon its original release, SHOWGIRLS has since become a true camp classic, revived for midnight showings and beloved for its decadence, high nudity yield, and outrageously catty dialogue (courtesy of screenwriter Joe Eszterhas). Its director is Paul Verhoeven (ROBOCOP, TOTAL RECALL), so one can safely assume SHOWGIRLS' over-the-top hostility and sexuality is meant to be a satire of American culture. One of the first big-budget Hollywood movies to be released with an NC-17 rating, its lack of box office success meant few others would have the guts to follow.

) Showgirls is a soft porn, campy flick with Elizabeth Berkley (actress in Saved By The Bell TV series). The VIP Edition, with DVD, 2 shotglass, deck of Showgirl cards, pin the pasties on the poster girl game and more, was just the ticket for a young mans 18th birthday party! LOTS of T&A, wild sex in the pool scene, hot lap dance and bitchy catfighting all combine for one flagpole raising NC-17 movie! Mom approved.

) If you love T&A and slightly decent acting you may enjoy this campy look into the world of exotic dancers.The movie tho droll in parts has a few memorable moments,and I recommend it be in every mans library of entertainment for the T&A alone. :)
This Boxed V.I.P Edition is probably the best of all the releases of Showgirls.Not only do you get this great camp classic movie,but you get drinking games to play with it. A set of shot glasses ,and a blind fold for the pin the pasties on the showgirl game.which in my opinion only makes the movie better.
Get a few like minded friends together and play some games and watch the movie. What better way to spend an evening at home.
Remember this is an NC-17 rated movie and drinking is a responsibility,so be careful with the games.:)

) Dancers of America need love too! The critics hated it, but I say "How could you not like it?!" The acting is not the best but the movie definitely got a bad rap. I liked Elizabeth Berkley's performance. She's one sexy lady. There are lots of sexy girls dancing around half naked too. The movie setting is Las Vegas, thus the title. The collector's edition had some fun party games and extra's for the Elizabeth Berkley or stripper fan. I bought it new on Ebay and watched the movie and played the party games with my wife.

Ok one thing this movie has going for it is naked Girls..I couldn't stand Nomi, first of all she's not as gorgeous as she's made out to be..second she's too whiney..my Partner everytime Nomi would fly into a tirade would say "what is she 2" her second favorite thing to say about Nomi was "what a bitch" we did like her Friend the one with the braids..what a sweet Girl she has alot of patience that's for sure I would have told Nomi off during that first meeting, but she didn't she hung in there! The only other person worth anything was the dance instructor..I really wish Elizabeth Berkley had taken some kind of dance lessons and if she did she should get a refund..she also is guilty of overacting!! Still this movie is alot of sex for the money so if you enjoy sex sex and more sex also four letter words and watching people being stupid on drugs then this movie is for you!! My favorite part was the makeup and the costumes..some of the Girls were gorgeous I just think they should find less degrading jobs..oh and btw taking kids backstage in a strip club can we say bad Mother!!

I had watched a watered down versionthis move several time on television, and I liked it, (I didn't realize how watered down it was,) however I was not prepared for the amount of nudity and sex in this version. On the back of the DVD Box it says "Masterpieces of Flasy Tackiness," which pretty much sums it up. This VIP Edition comes with a "Game," "Pin The Pasties On The Showgirl." Give me a break. This Game includes a Nude Poster of the Girl that plays the Title Role, a Blindfold, Plastic Nipple things that attach to the poster, and a deck of cards.
After I saw this "Full Edition," I did not care for it. I'm going to re-list it on EBay, and hopefully someone else will buy it. The same people that made Basic Instinct made this movie. Go Figure.
