The Sharp@ Viewcam camcorder is very easy to use with its High8 format by which can be viewed upon a VCR adapter also purchased separately. Head cleaning with either tape or swab
conditions playback and recording. Video High8 or VHS-C tapes
of high grade quality will preserve your most precious moments
which depend upon this procedure. Having two adequate battery
packs or three handy when portable, and a sturdy tripod to use when necessary eliminates camera shake gives videos that
professional touch. I would rate the Sharp Viewcam@ (1) on
a scale of 1 to 5 by experience alone.

This is a great camera. Is the second time I buy one because the first camera broke down and I have more than 20 super8mm tapes with videos with my kids. I have not tried to record but the second camera I bought from you seems to be working properly. I hope it last long enough to copy all my super 8 cassette tapes into DVD to preserve the memories. This week I will record a new tape with the camera and will see. I love this camera because it produces high quality analog tapes with great zoom power and recording features.
I've already got this camera and really like it ...mine has started acting up so I bought another one....It's old technology but I'm comfortable with it....the new ones are too complex and this is reasonably priced.

Fairly compact, easy to handle. LCD screen nice in the front.
Only reason I bought this one was to copy previous years of Hi8mm tapes to DVD and it was at a very great price.
I would recommend it for anyone who prefers video tape.
The picture and sound is great when viewed on a TV.
I found a lot of old 8mm family movies from early 90's that I want to watch but my old Viewcam was dropped and broke to pieces and I was surprised to there are a lot of them in existence. Instead of buying another analog, I switched to digital and forgot about the old memories. This a very user friendly gadget.
