I started reading these in the 4th grade. The first one I read was the Green Ghost and went on to read all of them up to Dead Man's Riddle.
The celebrity of Alfred Hitchcock, the interest of the gold plated chauffer driven Rolls, combined with three youths with secret headquarters in a salvage yard are a combination of items well suited to frame a youth detective tale.
All of the titles by Robert Arthur are very well written. I would recommend them to young readers, and I have gone back and revisited several as an adult. My favorites are #1, #2. #4. #5. #7. #8. and #9.
I enjoy a good mystery, and Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Series is a great series for young readers. My husband enjoyed these books when he was younger, and I added a few of them to our personal library for our kids to enjoy when they are a little older.
This is the first book in the series, where three friends: Bob Andrews, Pete Crenshaw, and Jupiter Jones, who call themselves The Three Investigators, use their detective skills to solve many mysteries.
I first read this book when I was a kid and I loved it then. It is one of a series of Three Investigators books, and they are a great read for kids. It is still a fun read today, and brings back some memories for me.
My son is working his way through this series, and he found this book to be the best so far! He could hardly put it down! We highly recommend it! A++
