Needed external hard drive for storage and backup. This was exactly what I needed, compact and easy to use. However, due to my error, I didn't see in the ad before I bid that it was for a Mac, not a PC, so couldn't use. Fortunately for my daughter, she has a Mac, so she got a free external drive.
This is a great external hard drive. It is the ultimate portable external hard drive. Not only is it stylish but it works great. If you need to store files, photos, or movies this hard drive is for you.
This is the lightest, handsomest plug and play, read and write, nifty speedy spare drive you can find anywhere. It's hard to find for some reason, but it's terrific. It comes with built in software I cancel out of ~ I use my own backup method. But it lets you do whatever you need to do the way you want to do it.
I'm not technically oriented; and found out quite by accident (when observing a friend) that the Seagate FreeAgent Go backs up large numbers documents considerably faster than flash drives. (I had been using flash drives . . . and it was taking "forever" to back everything up). I appreciate the Seagate's ability to handle pre-programmed back-ups. So no worries about forgetting to back up. Super product.
Very easy to use, plug it in and it does installs itself practically in under a few minutes. Very sleek looking as well, the bottom part is a nice rubber material which grabs to surfaces really well to prevent from sliding across tables and so on, very smart idea. Also the "dot pattern" glows when the product is plugged in to the computer, very cool looking. However you need to take off about 10-15 gigs of space off the hard drive you're looking at for w/e reason as this is the case w/most any mass storage device
