I am using this drive to extend my VDR's recording capacity. It is a great fit with the energy saving "slower" spindle speed that gives "good enough" performance (faster drives don't make the picture better on my TV) and high capacity at a great price and runs cool in my electronics cabinet.
At 5900 RPM it isn't the fastest drive out there, but if you're just wanting extra storage space and don't need to use it as a primary OS drive for something like running complex sequences with your favorite DAW, it should do just fine. Good bang for the buck.
Huge amount of space iun my favorite HDD brand. The Seagate drives are great for its quality and performance, even for 5900 rpm, with a great motherboard and correct bus is almost undetectable the low speed, works fine.
