older sci fi movies have more to offer than you think.

this box set of 100 sci fi movies was purchased for the unbelievable price of 14.00us after shipping!!i have about 50 of these titles already in other sets but i didnt have the other 50!!a big help is a movie guide book listing plots and characters i use before i buy any movies.now these movies are from a lot of different movie companies and some are foreign films dubbed english.the digital images arent the greatest on some films but most are acceptable to great and the soundtracks are really good.the stories are wide and varied plots.its fun to see a lot of familiar actors in early obscure roles and the story lines are more in depth than todays big bang and flash productions that rely on special effects and computer generated fast action that leaves you wondering what just happened; not much dialog,fast images of close up nonsense,bang!! the movie is over!!thank you and come back next year for the new version of the same movie you just seen only this one will be better than the previous 4 same stories you already paid to see before!!thats why i like the older movies and prefer to purchase these older sets.the variety,the value and the entertainment is better for you than the headache speed and borrowed plots in theaters now from these old movies.the original is usually better in most things any way.of todays pictures most are remakes.who knows why?its not like there arent enough new stories out there to make movies.maybe because the story is owned by the production company already and so not to pay for a new story or character they rehash the same old things.i would like to think its because the older movies are better,and thats why i go out of my way to collect the originals of things so i wont get stuck paying over and over for the same thing.some remakes make sense because the technical limitations of the time prevented some story continuity and well look fake!!but the dialog and story line made up for the shortfalls.today the shows have all visual stimulation with little real dialog to relate to.thats my opinion.good luck and enjoy!!

THIS IS A MUST HAVE. This is the best collection of Sci-fi movies ever. The paranoia that swept the world in the 50's in fear atomic bombs has never been so clearly captured These movies have REAL ACTORS in latex masks, NOT some computer generated farce. After all, Never give a computer control over your life.

Every heroine comes with more hairspray than anyone can find in an earth based store. Monsters, aliens, Amazon Women, Hercules, Flash Gorden and his rocket with very special sound effects as it travels through space, and so much more to see. Did you know there is a place at the center of earth with an ocean? Do monsters plod slowly through the forest knowing that the only thing they will ever hope to catch is a pretty girl in a tight sweater parked with her boyfriend on lover's lane running ahead in high heels only to fall, to wait and scream, hoping the girl will escape? Or should she have listened to her parents warning her not to go to Lover's Lane who knew only trouble could be there.

Answers to Big Foot, genetic experiments, and a lot of suspense and entertainment awaits you. If you are dying to know the answers, if you can make popcorn, and watch a B movie, have a backseat in your wide body Chevy, then this is for you. If you don't get this, you will never know how to save the world when it is threatened by the aliens, monsters, atomic bombs, and other evil forces which humans cannot understand. After all YOU may be the only one who can save humanity and our planet from total destruction, and these movies hold the clues to solve the unknown perils.

Public Domaine Heaven!

Public domaine heaven! A great collection of some not-alsways great movies. Most are from the 50's-70's, but some older and newer ones are there, as well.
A few minor quibbles:
*Not all are strictly sci fi. Some are horror, and some are adventure.
*Quality isn't alsways the best. I suppose this company is limited to whatever prints are available.
Still, this is a wonderful collection. And the best part is it costs as much as a single new movie on DVD!

A great Christmas gift from Santa!!!

I received the DVD package today. It's unopened and brand new. I wanted to leave feedback about my purchase. I am sure I won't get around to viewing any DVDs until after the Holidays.
