) i bought this cooker thinking of making brown rice,and i used it and very happy.i have 3 sanyo basic cookers bought more than 20 years ago,and i'm still using the very happy,my other cookers i have all sizes national-panasonic,one hitachi,they are also very good.the most i like with this is very thick pan,easy to clean,without sticking rice too.

I really like this cooker, it is one of my favorites. I have 8 rice cookers. I use 2 of them, the most recent acquisitions, every day. Well, I don’t use both every day, but I use at least one. This one is good,, reliable, minimal to no burned rice, and what I would call a work horse. You could put it to good use everyday and not worry about wearing it out.
