This camera is simply amazing. Amazing. The picture quality is awesome.
I gave it 4 stars not because it was bad, i did it just because i have an SLR and i had to compare, but picture quality is amazing.
It's heavier than your average Point anc shoot cameras, which might feel wrong in the wrong hands, but in the right hands it feels robust and solid.
I bought this camera to have a support camera, but i might end up using it more often than i thought.
This camera is light years ahead of other cameras i have tested, i own canon Powershot a2200, PowerShot 1100, PowerShot A1000 IS, Fuji S4500, and a Nikon D600, and only the Fuji and Nikon are better, but remember those are more expensive.
Picture is sharp and colors are brilliant. It has lots of picture effects and i LOVE the panoramic feature.
PROS:
Amazing zoom range.
WIFI connectivity to send picture directly to PC or social networks!
Looks elegant and stylish!
Top technology!
FAST focusing.
Awesome battery life!
Very low price!
It just feels GREAT to use it!!
CONS:
Not recommended for kids, as it is a little too heavy and they could drop it.
The lens feels a bit delicate, and feels like it could be damaged if turned ON while on the carriyng case (of course i might be utterly wrong).
It takes HD video, but non FULL HD video only.
Too heavy for small tripods.
Definately recommend it. I bought a second one after one week of using it.
I bought this to go with my Galaxy Nexus (smartphone) because as much as I LOVE my Galaxy Nexus, the one thing I am/was disappointed with, was the Galaxy Nexus' camera (it DID improve AFTER the ICS 4.0.4 update tho). Anyway, the MAIN selling point of this camera for me was the fact that you're suppose to be able to connect it with your Android phone (and iPhones I suppose), with the download of the free app from Google Play, and it's suppose to just connect. You would think it should be a no brainer because they are both Samsung products, right? Well, they didn't connect, and after doing some research online, it turned out I wasn't the only one having problems. BUT, AFTER I got my Galaxy Nexus rooted and updated to ICS 4.0.4, it now connects fine with my Galaxy Nexus. The ONLY issue now is, after every connection between the WB150F and my Galaxy Nexus, it wipes out ALL my passwords with wifi. Not really a big deal because I don't connect the two devices very often, and I really only have two locations where I use wifi, my condo and my girlfriend's apartment. So, I just re-enter the password (with my Galaxy Nexus, that is).
As for picture quality, it's okay... I'm actually a amateur/semi professional photographer so maybe I'm expecting too much from a "Point & Shoot" (comparing with my dSLRs). But it's picture quality is definitely better than my Galaxy Nexus smartphone. If you have a smartphone and you're happy with the picture quality, I wouldn't really recommend this camera. Low light/high ISO photos are okay, most likely will be better than most smartphones.
Special features like panoramic is actually pretty cool and does a pretty good job of stitching the photos together (however, you can NOT transfer panoramic photos via wifi). And there ARE a lot of special features, but the panoramic is the only one I really like.
Battery life isn't very good. I haven't actually counted how many photos I've taken before the battery dies, but all I know is, a few times I was caught by surprise the battery was completely dead. Do NOT rely on the battery life indicator, it's NOT accurate. The few times the battery completely died on me, just the day before, there were 2 out of 3 bars in the battery indicator, giving me the impression that it had enough to take a few more shots, but the next day, it was completely dead. Which leads me to another issue. When the battery is dead... and you try turning the camera on, it doesn't say anything on the screen, like "dead battery" or "please charge battery" or anything like that... The first time this happened, I had no clue that it was the battery, but thought that the camera just stopped working and was ready to go return it.
Great camera!! Have had it for about 2 months. At first I thought it had too many features, but I have ended up using most of them, and will get to the rest I am sure. Many are just for fun, but people love getting their photo in one of the Magic Frames.
My first camera with a "panning panorama" called Live Panorama. Just hold the shutter release and pan, no more 3 shots and stitching.
Inputting the email addresses is not as easy as it would be with a touch screen, but you only do it once per recepient, the camera remembers them, and for me I would only send pictures from the camera to 5 or 6 people anyway, so not a big deal. Zoom is terrific. Steady shot works great. I bought an extra battery and separate charger, but haven't needed either yet, but that stuff is cheap. So was a SanDisc Ultra II, 2 gig SD card. I have done one 14" blowup, and it turned out great. And I just did it on the cheap at Walgreens!
I'm in love with this camera. I bought it as a Xmas gift and now I want one for myself. I loved the fast shipping (within a week). The camera is light weight with excellent features. You'll definitely get your money's worth. I would recommend this camera to everyone (Point and shooters). From wi-fi sharing features, picture editing, different scenery lighting, picture in picture...I'm in love it!
Well here are some pros and cons about the camera.
Pros:
-Picture Resolution
-18x Zoom
-Light Weight
-Compact
-Inexpensive
Cons:
-LCD Screen is grainy
-Slow Shutter speed
The Samsung WB150F is well worth the price. I've heard this camera be compared to a cell phone camera. I can confirm that this is way better than your ordinary 2-5mp cell phone camera. The quality of the pictures is great. Your also have some special filters, which are lots of fun to mess around with. The camera also come with a great photo editing software which helps you make your pictures even more great. I really don't have too much to complain about the camera. I loved it. Well worth the price.
