Samsung UN46C9000 46" Full 3D 1080p HD LED LCD Internet TV

Thanks for all the reviews! I purchased a brand new 55" C9000 for $1599 at PC Richards last night. It was their last unit. It was a no brainer at that price.I was debating on purchasing Samsung's UN65d8000. After seeing the lousy picture quality, I decided to stay with Samsung's 9000 series units. This unit has an excellent picture. Previously, I had the Samsung 55" LN55A950 which was also LED backlit. It had an amazing picture quality of 10/10 without any calibration. I am feeling that the C9000 might need calibration. Don't get me wrong, the colors are amazing, and the blacks are flawless. I think, the dimming feature has to be tweaked and brightness adjusted accordingly. The UN55C9000 is thinner, made of better quality and provides a better picture then Samsung's newer units (UN55d8000 / 7000 / 6000, UN60d8000 and UN65d8000 / UN65C8000). Apparently, Samsung has gone down in its production quality over the last 2 years. As the units become thinner, the picture quality and components used in production also become cheaper. This is apparent to a number of experts as well. Thinner, doesn't always mean better. I lucked out on this unit in terms of price and build quality. This 9000 series is surrounded front to back in full aluminum titanium color. The aesthetics of this unit are unmatched by any of today's newer units.

Samsung buyers, I recommend staying away from their 6000, 7000 and 8000 series models as they use cheaper component which result in poor picture quality. Samsungs 9000 units have their high end processors and pack the real punch that blows the competition away.

I recommend this unit to anyone who can get their hands on a brand new one for $2100 or less. DO NOT BUY A REFURB!!! NEW or nothing!!! Check out: thetvmegastore.com

Remote Control Review: I have read many reviews on the functionality of this remote. The remote can be quite confusing the use, but with practice you will adapt to it. It is by far the most technologically advanced remote that comes with a television unit. The remote is pretty much touch screen and can be programmed to do anything.

I haven't had the chance to browse the internet using the television. I have heard mixed reviews on the streaming of data. I suggest that buyers purchase a gaming router for the unit and have a dedicated internet line that runs 35/20. As wifi technology improves, picture quality will improve through time. For the time being a direct line is puts the television to the true test.

As a final note, if you are in debate mode between a plasma and LED, go walk over to a Best Buy and check out the difference between the two. The LED is brighter, clearer, uses less electricity and doesn't hurt the eyes after long periods of watch time. Plasma units heat up and project lots of heat towards its users, not the case with LED/LCD.

If you do any research on this model of T.V., you will soon understand why this LED T.V. is like none other.. The remote control is so useful, futuristic and easy to use. The picture clarity and color is phenomenal. It was hard to believe how thin the screen really was.. The stand it comes on is solid, streamlined and very modern. THIS truly is a television for the future.. What this T.V. "CAN do", compared to all other televisions out there right now,is the operational word. Not only can you watch your normal everyday 2D t.v., but it is 3D ready! Can't wait to buy the glasses and stay at home for a wonderful 3D experience from my own couch. It compliments any home decor because it almost looks like a picture hanging from your wall, it is that thin and that elegant...The finishing done on the t.v. is wonderful, very high class.. I have nothing negative to say, how can you.. Samsung has definitely set the bar high with this series. The unique remote control is included when you buy the 9 series.. WOW, I cannot say enough great things about my new t.v.

This television is excellent, set a new standard for my technological needs. I needed a television that would display perfect, vivid image and this television has fulfilled my needs.

The only thing that I dislike is the battery life on the remote control. It does take time and numerous attempts to call Samsung but in the end, you can get everything set up like twin view and all share. Although, unlike the advertisements, they do not allow you to "preview" channels on your remote control while in twin view. Also, the Link stick that came with the television keeps on dropping the connection which really gets frustrating.

Overall in graphics, everything is perfect except when your gaming, even with the gaming mode on, the TV tends to lag.

First thing is the picture what comes out of this Tv. It is just amazing and everything feel like live. Havent tried yet my 3d but i guess it will be as good as it can be. this tv is thinner than my phone and it is just awesome. It is a little challenge to remember all the functions that i can do but i guess after one week studying users guide i will know everyuthing :) Now i can read news, usa today, check my wall on facebook, stream movies, listen to music play games not opening my laptop. And actually i can stream everything from my computer to my tv and check videos, pictures and music what i have on my HDD in my laptop straight to tv.
This is the best picture quality that you can get right now and the thinnest tv that i have seen. Thank you Samsung :)

We love the slim and beautiful design. The image is outstandig and 3D is very fun. I keep comparing it with others and feel our money was very well spent. I highly recommend other seekers to take the risk, and enjoy.
