The Samsung Highlight has an easy-to-use design with satisfying call quality. It supports T-Mobile's 3G network and a functional feature set with a camera and music player.
The Samsung Highlight's call volume is low and speakerphone quality is unimpressive. Its memory card slot is located behind the battery.
The Samsung Highlight doesn't offer anything you haven't seen before, but it works quite well as an entry-level touch-screen phone.

Nice phone but my wife hates it. Bought this for my wife for Christmas to replace her old Nokia 6010 that was basically falling apart. She uses T-Mobile and while the old phone still worked FLAWLESSLY (ie. rarely a dropped call, text, etc) this Samsung is flaky at best. Places in the house and around the neighborhood where the old phone worked this new phone doesn't. Not sure why this would happen, same service, same signal but a phone 6 or 7 years older with older technology beats the Samsung hands down. I've contacted T-Mobile and their response was no more than checking everything on their end and telling me that "different phones might not act the same".
The seller has been no help at all either. I bought this unlocked for no reason other than the price was right and the phone looked nice. I thought maybe the unlocking was an issue (doubt it) or that the phone may have been a return and already had problems. I contacted the seller through Ebay within his stated "return time" and never heard back, no response to my inquiry.
So, basically we hope that the phone will work when needed, in an emergency which is really the only reason my wife carries it in the first place. The first time it doesn't, the SIM card will likely be removed and the phone thrown out the window. Good Luck!
I like the touch screen...beacuse is easy and enough x my fingers. Take a good pictures, is easy to use.
If you want use it in Latin America don´t buy this phone, beacuse T-Mobile have restriccion x use the 3G, only GSM in dual band. I have been problems x read the name of the contacts when they send me messages and when they call me..
This phone works good in North America and Europe.. The telecomunications company in my country told me.
I received the black/grey version, didn't want the orange color, which is great. It is a small, compact, easy to use touch screen phone that you don't have to pay extra $$ for a data plan, (i.e., not a smart phone.) I put my current Tmobile SIM card in and I was good to go. Which is GREAT, not everyone wants an android phone or wants to play that game, (more $$$, spotty service as there are not 4G networks in much of the country etc etc). I tried out a Galaxy Samsung smart phone that I sent back, it was too much, I don't need another computer, I need a mobile phone that gets good reception and that I can travel internationally with. This little Samsung Highlight is perfect for me, (quad band international capable easy to travel with). It is easy to figure out and use, has a good speaker phone, (important as I don't like to cook my brain w/ the phone right next to my head), easy to use for texting, fits in one hand easily etc. I hope the phone has a long life, I am very happy with it and it's a nice upgrade from my old phone.
I bought the phone three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The phone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.
Easy to use. It has a good speaker for playing mp3s without earbuds
and holds all my music and pictures on the memory card. I like the screen lock button and the side volume controls. Only thing I wish that was different is the connection for charging is the same as the connecdtion for the ear buds and it is not 3.5mm or mini usb. For the money it is a good entry level touch screen phone with a lot of
